At least the first episode takes place before Battle of the Gods. It's like six months after the Buu Saga and Goku hasn't met Beerus yet.

It might timeskip to after BoG at some point though, we don't know.

that makes sense considering Goku is just now departing to go train with King Kai. And I think the force Olk Kai and Kabito Kai was referring to was Beerus and Whis and they might like you say time skip
