GT isn't better than Super but they had dope ass ideas that could absolutely be expounded upon The Tuffels or Baby specifically being brought as a sins of the past thing was a nice twist. Ss4 description funny enough also links with how Broly currently tapped into his transformations in the movie can't be a coincidence. Even the dragonballs slowly amassing negative energy through each use wasas far as creativity was concerned.I wasn't a huge fan of super 17 but his design was dopeYou could definitely take some of those ideas and expand instead of this terrible rehash ending. Like, just have Goku obliterate Moro soon as he went full Instinct again to avenge Meerus not this senzu bean bullshytHave Grand priest finally do something useful and pull up for this disrespect, shyt reintroduce the demon realm since we know Dabura ruled it at one point. I'm through with these Moro shyt

Agreed, I’m not as down on GT as a lot of people

There were some good ideas there that I wish they would explore again and simply improve on

that SSJ 4 transformation was great. Tapping into their ape form and being more aggressive while SSJ 4

I'll take SSJ4 over the god transformations tbh. I think if they changed the design up a bit with the clothes then it would look more dope like xeno goku ssj4 looks better than gt goku ssj4

Turning Goku back into a kid

This is the one complaint I've never had an issue with. I had no problem with Goku being a kid again. But that's also because I always liked Kid Goku (in many ways more than adult Goku) and I always like Dragon Ball alot (in many ways more than DBZ).

I have this theory that most of the people that had a problem with Goku being a kid again either didn't watch the OG Dragon Ball or didn't like it. Remember, OG DB first aired in the US in 95 (before DBZ). But it was taken off air pretty quickly because it wasn't well liked, and it didn't come back on again til 02. By then DBZ was already huge. So most people saw adult Goku before seeing Kid Goku, therefore they were used to the adult version. So the kid version was a regression that they didn't want.

I bet Goku being a kid was a big deal in Japan asking it was in the US. But that's also because the OG DB was liked just as much as DBZ. And I'm sure the nostalgia factor played a part in having him be a kid again

They made Goku a kid again to take Dragon Ball back to its roots with a Dragon Ball hunting adventure and bank on nostalgia. But the fans weren't fukking with it, so they did an about face and went back to Z style storylines.

However: the real/main reason they turned Goku back into a kid was to nerf his power because they felt by the end of Z he was waaaay too powerful for anyone to realistically pose a threat to him

Gt would of been better if they went all the way and had Trunks, Pan, and Goten be the main focus and actually did shyt and have Goku have a more mentor/last resort role.

SSJ2 was the ultimate stimulus for his character and everybody was feeling it. He was done wrong and Dragon Ball has paid for it ever since.

Goku's granddaughter being a main character

Goku's granddaughter being completely useless and not even having any transformations

The idea of evil dragons as villains

Most of the actual Shadow Dragons being wack and easily defeated

Goku's power being toned down (I can understand, he's OP, and other characters need to get some shine)
