I was talking about Future Trunks timeline where he's the last Saiyan alive. Black over here obsessing over Goku but last time he was relevant he would've got washed by OG 17 and 18. Meanwhile Future Trunks washed them and also pushed Dabura's wig back. Black's infatuation didn't make sense but I'm further in the saga and looks like Toriyama got some timeline fukkery incoming.

The Zamasu that's obsessed with Goku isn't from Trunks' timeline.

The Zamasu in that timeline was visited by Goku(a mortal) and Beerus(a god).

The mere fact that a human was so comfortable around Beerus is what made him shook.

Then to find out this nikka fought Beerus and lived to talk about it had him even more shook.

He'd never even fathomed the idea of a mortal being that powerful.

That's the version of Zamasu(or Black) that became obsessed with Goku.
