My take on the frieza thing
I really want it to be a cliffhanger where frieza gets his wish and we have to wait for a new series/return of super
But what I think is most likely... Theyve been pushing the Goku gets caught off guard thing since the frieza movie. Even after Whis has told him about it Goku keeps getting caught off guard, i cant name em off top but theres a few examples in the top
Frieza is going to try to shoot goku in the back and UI Goku is going to dodge and knock him out. Thats going to be it. I hope it isnt but thats what I feel

My feelings exactly.
Even during the tournament it’s been stressed that goku is too over confident and unguarded still.
Then only problem I can see is If he gets hit with some blast while in IU.
People gonna be like “I thought he couldn’t be touch hit!?!?!”
If that happens it would have made frieza a almost useless pick for the tournament he really didn’t get to fight.
I really hope it’s a cliff hanger with frieza get a wish with the super dragon balls.

Toryiama tried multiple times to make Gohan the start of the show but the fans wouldn't let him
Goku death after Cell saga was supposed to be permanent. Hell the show was supposed to END after Frieza
Toryiama is definitely lazy but not in the way you're describing. He tried to switch it up and the fans said nikka fukk you we want Goku
As much as some of us hate how one dimensional the show is, a good amount of people eat this shyt up bruh
