He did kill off cell right?
I mean last time gohan was bad ass well he got his pops killed, I think future trunks got killed(or badly wounded to near death by cell)
There wasn't really no threats to earth, and his moms kept on trying not to raise him as a fighter, from since he was kidnapped by radditz all the way to the cell games he was always in some shyt, and when it came for him to shine he got people close to him killed because of his recklessness that could rival vegeta's but he wanted cell to suffer more cuz of his own emotions that interfered with his judgement to just off him right there. Gohan was never really a fighter. Wanna blame someone blame chi chi for raising him like that.
I'm starting to ramble but...
Final point Gohan taking a step down the bad ass route was probably a good thing. nikka was feeling himself a lil too much.
