nikka shut up. No one in they right mind has db>dbz

Cell saga shyts on anything that DB has. :birdman: Caping for Tien Yamcha and Krillin :scust:

The Cell Saga wasn't even as good Frieza, my dude :leostare:

Cell introduced a lot of dope characters (future Trunks :krs:), but the writing took a major nosedive. Too much of the story relied on the heroes not being on point.

Bulma bringing her baby to see the androids :dahell:
Yamcha not warning the other Z fighters about the Androids' energy draining capabilities after nearly getting earthed :dahell:
Doctor Gero activating 17 and 18 before knowing they would actually listen to his crusty old :flabbynsick: self :dahell:
Cell having Piccolo's DNA and data on all of the Z fighters and STILL not knowing that Piccolo can regenerate :dahell:
17 still trying to act hard around Cell and getting absorbed, right after Cell had bodied his equal, Piccolo :dahell:
Krillin not getting 18 OUT OF THERE before Cell noticed :dahell:
Vegeta LETTING Cell go perfect just to try and show up Goku :dahell:
Bulma not TELLING 16 that she removed the bomb from his body :dahell:
Goku giving Cell a senzu bean like ":gladbron: let's keep it a fair fight! " :dahell:
Gohan not finishing Cell when he had the chance and getting Trunks and Goku murked :dahell:
Goku taking 20 years to say his goodbyes when he could have teleported, grabbed King Kai and his Monkey, and gotten out of there :dahell:

It still had it's moments, but OG Dragonball (especially the tournaments) and the Saiyan/Frieza arcs >>>

Yeah, this is the main reason why I'm not feeling any new dbz. I mean once upon a time ssj2 was wow status...and then became completely useless by the next saga :beli:

After a while you just get exhausted by the constant power-ups and powerful villains. :yeshrug:

I believe Ive come around on it. I mean isn't that what the show has been about from the jump? Even since the original dragonball?

- establish villain
- heroes get stronger
- a fight ensues
- new villain shows up
- heroes must become even stronger
- a fight ensues

and so on and so on.

What makes it interesting is how they keep expanding on it and thinking up new ways to keep upping the stakes. goku went from a kid from a village competing in his local karate tournament and taking on big time karate masters. eventually him and the gang would graduate to aliens, galactic overlords, and ancient demons.

it'll be cool to see where they take it next. every time you think you've reached the final boss, a newer stronger villain appears. remember how brolic piccolo was one at point? and yet raditz comes along and makes him look like an absolute bytch.

to think that the next batch of villains could be stronger than buu:whoo:

prob gonna be some dudes that control realities and shyt.

OG Dragonball is all around a better show, but DBZ just has the most hype moments so most people prefer DBZ and I'm one of those people.:yeshrug:

From the beginning on to the early stages of the Buu Saga was straight up piff :ohlawd: Later stages of Buu Saga it started to drag on just a little too long :ld:

If there was a way to make a new series that encapsulated DB's atmosphere and fukkery while maintaining DBZ's hype and :krs: then you would have the perfect show

I said in another thread, but I really wished post-Androids Future Trunks timeline was explored more. You can easily do a major arc where Trunks goes into space in search of New Namek to wish to undo some of the damage done by the Androids and to get Dende to become the new Guardian of the Earth. While remnants of the Frieza empire are also in pursuit of the Dragon Balls to revive Frieza. Imagine a Future Trunks vs Frieza rematch :banderas:

Bring back Faulconer da gawd:blessed:

Movie would've been so much better with Bruce involved:wow:

:ohhh: This was incredible. The US Version has to have Falconer..... I was 11-12 when DBZ got real hot during the Toonami Days and I can admit I am a little excited for this. However, I really hope they find a way to make a least a couple of the Human Characters relevant again. Also, I hope they do not rely so much new transformations for the Saiyans. I'd like to see more fights based on skill and tactics at least at first.

Oddly enough, the most nostalgic eras for me are early Namek and the post-Frieza arcs like Garlic jr.

Part of me really wishes they would continue off of some alternate timeline from when Gohan was still a kid. I really miss the adventure aspect of the series as a whole, which you can't really have when all of the relevant characters are hella overpowered and can blow up galaxies with a flick of the wrist-- you know nothing can really be a threat to them besides other similarly overpowered dudes.
I know most of you are probably stanning Cell-era teen Gohan, who was :obama:, but the chilled out atmosphere of the OG Gohan era is just too :ahh: to me

^ THAT'S what I think of when I imagine Gohan :salute:
Not everybody and their mom needs to be a Super Saiyan

Look at him now :scust:
Looking like a :wrist: rejected member of the Ginyu Force :snoop:

EDIT:

It would be dope to see an alternate timeline series going off of the OG Dragon Ball era when Goku and Bulma were still kids/teenagers. The adventures they could all have would be :wow:
