I'm happy they are going to switch up the battle system but I enjoyed the system in DQ 11. A lot it had the charm of all the older games and the QOL improvements of modern times. I wonder if it will be like DQIII or IX where you can build your own party and multiclass,

"It's like a Dragon Quest for adults"

It's about "having options," choosing your own way to play. And "the purpose of life."

Emphasis on being a darker more mature dragon quest

*new battle system* -thank god

This makes me think i'll get it. My main complaint with dragonquest over the years is i feel like the og game i played as a kid with my dad was more mature than all the more recent sequels. Like they just said fukk the aging gamers we want the kids money only.

Wow

What's a good one to start with

DQ8 and 11 are the best to start with.

After that probably 9 and the DS remakes.

The others only play if you are a diehard fan and like more retro style games. I actually really like old school games but the older DQs are hard even for me to play sometimes.
