Started this against my better judgement. Game is gorgeous

Still has those classic DQ chimes and the MIDI music honestly adds to the charm imo

Funny enough there's a mod that changes the music to the orchestra composition on PC.

I haven't felt like this playing a JRPG since the PS2 days

Not even Persona 5 restored that feeling

This is a great game. It's pretty much old school gameplay, but the level of polish keeps the game interesting and makes it hard to put down.

im tryna get to greatness levels on octopath my main 4 are like in the mid 50's high 60's range...i only got 1 of the 4 secret jobs and thats sorcerer the other job's bosses keep whippin my ass...well i only tried to fight one other boss that was for the rune job

I got everyone right around 50. Haven't got the secret jobs yet. Got 2 chapter fours left

Can’t go wrong with any of the IOS remakes(IV-VIII), but for I-III I’d go with the old school versions, if old NES graphics don’t bother you.
