my whole thing is, they're still throwing KI blasts around on earth like it won't destroy the planet, freiza destroyed a planet pretty easily let alone someone like Majin Vegeta or whatever who has like 1000x freiza's power but doesn't destroy the earth when fighting on itOne aspect of DBZ that was always wack was the infinite transformations and power levels. From the beginning of DBZ when power levels were less than 9000 to the end when they were in the tens or hundreds of millions?

I think most of them do that. ..from naruto, bleach, and YYHFrom articles Ive read about Toriyama, he only originally planned Dragonball up to the first saga and he was going to end it after Pilaf. Manga wasn't even as popular as it is today until the World Tournament Saga with Goku vs Jackie Chun. With that said, Toriyama admits that most of the time, he writes the story as he goes along. At various points in the story, he had planned to end it for only his editors and the people at Shonen Jump (the publisher of the manga) and the fans to cry for more more. With that said, he really did planned for Son Gohan to be the new hero, even stating so and the beginning of the Buu Saga, but Gohan as he stated, the character wasn't "ready for the spotlight and wasn't suited to be the lead" Im assuming given his more serious, scholar, studious nature unlike Son Goku who relishes nothing more than a good challenge and protecting the people he loves. Thus he wrote himself into a corner with bringing Goku back and he just wrote things as they went along...
Honestly I thought Yu Yu Hakusho did a good job of giving every character time to shine and have stand out momentsI think most of them do that. ..from naruto, bleach, and YYH

What were your initial thoughts when you heard that Freeza was being brought back for this movie?
I just thought, “Alright! This is great!” I feel like the “F” not only stands for “Freeza”, it stands for “fans” too. It’s because of all the people who have supported him for so long that Freeza’s come back. People tell me all the time how “that thing Freeza said was a classic line”, but back when I was performing it I never thought “oh, this is a classic line” or anything like that. It’s the people who love the character that have made those lines into classics. I think I’m truly fortunate to have been able to encounter a character like this.
What do you think is Freeza’s appeal?
Probably his biggest appeal is his evolutionary process, the way he gets stronger each time he transforms. I’m quite fond of his first form, and this time around it makes its first appearance in a long while. Freeza’s final form is great, too. He feels a bit like a kuge1. His expressions and the way he talks as if he’s better than everyone else are just like the kuge. (laughs)
How about his mentality?
Akira Toriyama-sensei is very skilled when it comes to crafting characters with certain kinds of handicaps. It’s interesting to see how they try and deal with their handicaps. Freeza’s definitely a man who’s grown strong as he’s tried to compensate for his handicaps, in particular his complex towards his father. I think it’s probably one of the things that contributes to his appeal.
What was important when performing the role of Freeza this time around?
The most important thing was not to ruin his image. Making sure with each line that people won’t think “has he changed?” So that when they hear his hateful and repulsive voice, they’ll go “That’s it! That’s the voice!” The recording sessions were a blast. I managed to record a “new Freeza” while having fun with the actress who plays Goku, Mako-san (Masako Nozawa). Every time we meet up when I’m recording something new as Freeza, Mako-san always says “I truly despise you!” (laughs) This time around it was great to get to hear those emotion-soaked words again. I’m playing the bad guy, so the more I’m hated, the happier I am. I think this time everyone will totally hate my guts. (laughs)
It seems Freeza is getting a further evolution in this film.
That’s right, he goes even higher than his final form. It’s a transformation that’s pretty simple visually. Basically, he turns gold. (laughs) And his battle power goes through the roof, so I think you’ll get to see some fantastic battles. Above all, they’re really fast. In fact, they’re so fast that sometimes when we were dubbing in our voices we couldn’t keep up, so when Goku and Freeza were attacking or defending, we’d get the order switched around. “That’s backwards! I’m the one attacking now, and Mako-san’s the one getting beat up!”, that sort of thing. (laughs) Anyway, there’s some extremely fast and sharp battles.
By the way, how high do you suppose Freeza’s battle power has gotten now?
He’s a nice guy, so maybe 100 quintillion? 2
Such unimaginable strength!
Something like that anyway; he’s really something special. (laughs) (In this new movie) as far as Freeza’s concerned, you could say he “loses the battle, but wins the war”. Stay in your seats when the ending credits start to roll, and keep watching until the very end.

This was the most interesting thing I got from this interview. What exactly does he mean by this?
We all knew Freeza was going to lose but apparently either a new threat is looming or Freeza had a back up plan.
The only thing more dangerous than Freeza is a humbled Freeza.... Maybe since he lost vs Goku, and Trunks he has learned not to take chances. He's biggest weakness after all was his arrogance and over confidence. Maybe he loses but doesn't die, maybe he loses but proves a point. I'm not sure.
Then again I could be delving into the quote too much and maybe he just means that Freeza finally got his revenge on Goku and beat the shyt out of him at his full power and proves he was the stronger being, but Vegeta eventually comes and defeats Freeza.
But this brings me into theory mode:
What if Freeza wins, but Weiss and Beerus interfere. I think it was said that Weiss can shortly turn back time and reverse something that Beerus does recklessly. (And if you've played DB:Xenoverse you know that he can briefly travel to the future also.) What if he does it on Freeza... What if the Z fighters retreat or Freeza lives. Remember Freeza's goal was to kill Goku, he may fail and in his eyes means "losing the battle" but he may of gotten the attention of Weiss and Beeru's counterparts due to their involvement.
We know Weiss and Beerus are very powerful, but we also know there are others like them. We know that up until now, they haven't really gotten involved in the matters of the DBZ universe. Which leads me to believe they aren't supposed to. For beings this powerful they must have a set of rules on matters they can interfere in and matters they can't. Weiss for example is a God training Goku and Vegeta who are mortals, how to fight against Freeza. It doesn't seem "fair" by this I mean it doesn't seem like he should be or is allowed to do this.
Also it seems that Weiss is searching for beings of a certain caliber. In the case of the SSJ God prophecy, they didn't go trying to find the SSJ God so they could kill him, they just wanted to find him. I believe to test his strength and recruit him as in ally for a bigger threat the Weiss sees on the horizon. This may also be how Weiss found Beerus and is training him...
I honestly can't find a reason why Weiss would train Goku and Vegeta to defeat Freeza other than him believing that they have potential and could be of help to him in the future.
Anyway those are my thoughts. Super excited for this movie!.
Yeah they need to bring it backI'm even more excited now. Seems as if they plan on continuing even after the movie.
They should stop playing with our emotions and give us a continuation of the series. It didn't feel right ending with Buu.
