Man these are grown ass adults killing dozens of enemies every time they go out into magical warfare, talking about some “Oh um, erm…its a date! Or um, a plan for two people to meet a certain time together. Yea…that’s it” Like bro GTFOH :mjlol:
Right the writing is too modern and soft it does not feel like a medieval dark fantasy story.

Bolded is fukking crazy. EA's annual release schedule is basically held together by FIFA and Madden from a revenue perspective .:skip:

And this game didn't ruin the Dragon Age brand, wasting ten whole years to get a sequel out did. It reached a point where they'd sunk too much time and money into it to not release it, but also too much for it to be a success without putting up crazy numbers. If we're keeping it a buck, this is very much a "Here nikka, DAMN" game.

Mass Effect will likely be just fine. If the studio survived Andromeda and Anthem back to back, they'll be able to see out development on what was internally viewed as their ACTUAL comeback game.
they can't make another dragon age bro they nuked the world lol

but fr I can't even be mad with EA. sony or microsoft would've killed bioware years ago

ME doesn't even have a plan yet. It'd be different if the property made it TV or something since the teaser but they couldn't make that happen either.

I forgot to double back in the Discord once I finished it, but the game gets better further in. You can tell the early hours of the game are definitely what got reworked the most, since that's where some of the worst dialogue is. You could definitely play a dangerous ass drinking game based off of how lazily they throw around the phrase "Elgarnan and Ghilinain" though.

The story beats and set pieces in the mid to late game are definitely good, though. You can tell that, for better or worse, this was made by people who think Mass Effect 2 is Bioware's best game, and tried their best to make a Dragon Age version of that. Solid 7/10. Fun, not something I'd call great, but definitely not a piece of shyt.
:russ:they make a soft version of that story just look at Lucanis and compare him to dragon age 2 Anders for an Master Assassin possessed by a demon name Spite you think would have more of a darker edge to him it like damn Anders possessed by Justice/Vengeance is more :demonic: then a Master Assassin.

BioWare Studio Update

Studio cleaned out :dead: all new everything

Today, we are turning towards the future and preparing for the next chapter in BioWare’s story. As we announced in August 2023, we are changing how we build games to meet the needs of our upcoming projects and hold ourselves to the highest quality standards.

Now that Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been released, a core team at BioWare is developing the next Mass Effect game under the leadership of veterans from the original trilogy, including Mike Gamble, Preston Watamaniuk, Derek Watts, Parrish Ley, and others.

In keeping with our fierce commitment to innovating during the development and delivery of Mass Effect, we have challenged ourselves to think deeply about delivering the best experience to our fans. We are taking this opportunity between full development cycles to reimagine how we work at BioWare.

Given this stage of development, we don’t require support from the full studio. We have incredible talent here at BioWare, and so we have worked diligently over the past few months to match many of our colleagues with other teams at EA that had open roles that were a strong fit
.

Today’s news will see BioWare become a more agile, focused studio that produces unforgettable RPGs. We appreciate your support as we build a new future for BioWare.

That is a great price. Don't really need more games now, but might go ahead and add it to the backlog.
