I thought the inquisitor being woven into the story was ok, but i chose a girl that romanced solas so they had a lot of dialogue in the end

I started again as a Rogue with an intended speed run but i kinda got bored with the move set. Started again with a mage and i like it almost as much as Warrior.

I gotta reiterate that the combat, level design, and visuals are fantastic. As you guys mentioned when i read through the comments, nothing is more satisfying than a perfect parry. It's why the warrior-warden sub-specialization is the best imo. God of War vibes. I play everything on nightmare so there's that added feeling of success when you packing up the opps.

I'm not far along with the Mage yet as im not playing as often but i like the greater depth in the play style; feels more refreshing after being a warrior. I still have the same nitpick that 3 abilities is not enough and is a needless limitation.

Game felt too last gen for me and the gameplay loop with the janky suction attack animations by enemies was wack. That coupled with the mesh of the dry quirkyness of a modern title + Rook feeling lifeless, just had to uninstall. Idk.​

I'm still really early in the game because I restarted, and haven't had much time to play. I'm still amused that every single one of the crows sounds like they're doing an impression of Antonio Banderas in Assassins.

Same annoying issues of finding a perfect loadout only to run into enemy types resistant to that bytch , but still addicting especially the spell blade/lightning specialization

I ran mage from the jump. Yuh, it is fun as hell, though I'm 40 hours in and am starting to get the fatigue factor. Hopefully I'll be done this weekend.

Ill give ya a spoiler free end game heads up, the final mission is dope af. They break it down to several several chunks and its long, but u make some choices and they matter, and i wont say why

I'm like 13 hours in. I've been taking it slow, doing all the side content. I had to up the difficulty because I'm overleveled for most of the encounters. I can't tell how many hours into the main story I'm in but the first 2 arc are mid to bad story wise.

The tone can be childish at times (main story), but that's starting to change. It's like people forgot there are gods running train around the world.

Below doesn't contain any actual spoilers but some of yall are soft. Nobody complained about the tranny spoilers...

Especially once we find out what's happening outside of Tevinter. It lowkey sounds like a better game is happening everywhere but where this game take place if you read the missives and background noc dialogue it's the fukking biblical apocalypse happening, with literal demons and the undead coming back to life and our country is sitting around worrying about petty shyt. Like comparatively, every game so far has only experienced a small leak of the Blight into the real world. That bytch is wide open and is running train on every location we've previously played in, and is getting worse.

Hell, Solas' story would be a better game so far. I still don't know why it's not called Dread wolf. Everything revolves around him fukking up by trying to fix his fukk ups.

Yea the fatigue factor came in waves during my first play through but hit me harder in my 2nd once i no longer had the reveal of plot/subplots to cling to as motivation.

The combat at it's core is an absolute joy but there's a number of things that diminish it over time... redundant enemy types for starters, and mostly useless companion support abilities. Basically if it ain't intensified time slow with free ability use (neve, bel, emmerich), invulnerability (taash, davrin), or taunt with regen activated (taash, davrin), the other stuff, including detonations is too niche and does less damage than what you'd do dolo once you level up time slow.

So there's not much incentive to diversifiy your companions already limited move set.
