Question:

9/10 I get an African driver (usually Naija based on their names). Why do those mofos always get lost?

Like they'll call and use a really thick accent like they can't find your door. Then you step outside to give them direction....magically that accent clears up and they will try to drop the food off from their car without going to your door.

I learned to just ignore their phone call...they usually call twice to lure you into coming outside. Eventually they get to your door.

The food prices on ubereats be more then the in store prices. I used a delivery service once time and hated it. Driver kept getting lost and the restaurant fukked my order up. I go get my shyt now.

Use seamless all the time. Also call the spot itself if i got the cash on me. They send there own people.

uber eats iffy. Better options. But further and has shady ass drivers. Wont even come to your door if they cant find parking.

But then again I aint ordering a 50 dollars steak to be delivered. So, if its thai or pizza i can always heat it up if its cold.

i cook usually or eat at moms or mother in laws crib most days.
:heh: Y'all must live in some type of apartment complex. Delivering to houses is WAY EASIER than apartment complexes. On the Doordash driver app you can see the address of the customer before you accept that particular delivery job. With a couple of exceptions, I usually decline most deliveries to an apartment complex.

Some of these apps have started adding fake restaurants to the app, when in reality it is just people cooking in some shipping container for the app only.

The former CEO of Uber is working on a new company doing just this, called CloudKitchens. Kitchens in shipping containers cooking just for the delivery apps.

:ohhh:so decent food can probably be found at spots that don't offer delivery but are good enough to still stay in business.

If I recognize that it's an apartment, I usually text the customer asking for what building. The easier it is for me to navigate, the quicker the delivery. Sometimes the customer don't respond back. When that happens it sucks for both of us, because they get cold food and I waste time trying to deliver when I could use that time on another order.
