Yall gotta blame the food spots. Those nikkas will leave your food out just chillin out getting cold
This is why I still go inside to order my food. And I stand there, towering above the customer counter, glaring back there at em like
i feel the surcharges have like doubled since i started using these apps years ago...
now the charges almost equal the price of food itself so you're essentially paying double to have it delivered ....fukk that it might be cheaper just to uber myself to the restaurant
I do postmates, and it bothers me these places don't ,AT MINIMUM , tie the order in a knot or staple the bags. shyt don't feel right.

Uber Eats charges a restaurant 30% of their listed prices for the privilege of delivering their food. For example, Bob’s Deli charges $10 for a burger. Uber Eats would take $3 dollars as a fee for delivering their food. Also, Uber Eats does not permit restaurants to increase their prices to “cover” Uber’s cost. Thus, Uber is telling restaurants that they must eat the cost and lose money or we won’t deliver for you.
Based on the average profit margins above, every restaurant that engages Uber Eats will lose money on every order they take. The more orders coming from Uber Eats, the more money a restaurant would lose.
On the other side of the phone, you will have to pay a “booking fee” for your delivery that is also being paid directly to Uber. Thus, Uber is getting its cake and eating it too.
Why Uber Eats Will Eat You Into Bankruptcy
Uber’s argument is that by gaining new customers through their app, then restaurants would gain a profit from the long-term business of the person making the order. This is great in theory, but it’s unlikely in practice. Assuming that they order again from the restaurant, it is likely that they’d just order through Uber Eats again making the restaurant just lose more money.
Agreed, I don't buy this works in practice. I've been turned off from ordering from several restaurants based on how bad the delivery food is. Why am I going to go take a date to sit down in yoru restaurant with the delivery food is trash?Uber Eats charges a restaurant 30% of their listed prices for the privilege of delivering their food. Fix your own food, lazy muddafukka.shyt is TRASH.
I order a lot especially on the weekends if I’ve got company. I got on the wave maybe a year ago and I’ve slowly seen first the quantity of food you get drop, playing games using different food carriers with smaller compartments, etc.
Finally, the quality has gone to shyt. It’s like they’re giving you food they scrapped off someone’s plates who didn’t finish eating. Stale chips, cold food, really small quantities, and the prices have gone WAY up.
I swore it off after this week, but then I even called in an order from my favorite breakfast joint, even the takeout now is the same bullshyt small quantities that they were just peddling to DoorDash/GrubHub before
Heard an NPR radio story about how these companies are charging restaurants a big premium and now restaurants are responding by shorting the customer.
I don’t know where this is going, but it won’t be good. I don’t even want to eat at any of these restaurants anymore the quality is so low
