It was at 5 am so i can understand the delivery fee... but I gotta tip on top of that and pay another 10% :gucci:
You should just order from Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods and call it a day. Much better selections, food you can prepare yourself, and less expensive delivery fees if you have Amazon Prime.

Question:

9/10 I get an African driver (usually Naija based on their names). Why do those mofos always get lost?

Like they'll call and use a really thick accent like they can't find your door. Then you step outside to give them direction....magically that accent clears up and they will try to drop the food off from their car without going to your door.

I learned to just ignore their phone call...they usually call twice to lure you into coming outside. Eventually they get to your door.

:laff:

I don't know what going on with ubereats

Now all of a sudden there's a service fee, and they charge you if your order is less than $12

They will literally charge you for not spending more money :francis:

And on top of that they have the nerve to ask to tip the drivers before my food even arrives :gucci:

Everywhere...You never there.
Before the pandemic , shyt was fairly decent . I only did it a couple of times. Afterwards, shyt been trash . Just in terms of the actual mechanics of the delivery drop off process . Leaving shyt at the wrong location of the house . Bags not fully secure . Cold. Not placing the food on a pedestal.

And I haven’t seen even addressed the crux of the shyt ...

I’ve always tried to avoid such third party services but I tried recently again post pandemic and that shyt is not the wave .

Leave that shyt ALONE .

Back in MIA
These food delivery apps were a heaven to those who grew up in the South, Midwest, Southwest and a large majority of the West Coast. Where Dominos was the only delivery game in town.

For those of us who grew up in the Northeast (Philly, Boston, New York) these delivery apps have fukked everything up. We always had mom and pop shops that offered free delivery and gave a fukk about their food.

What gets a lot about DoorDash and GrubHub are some of them ridiculous ass distance-oriented delivery fees. How you finna charge a $7.99 delivery fee when the damn restaurant is only 12 mins from the damn house :gucci: Them delivery fees, sales taxes, and mandatory tips be adding up...That’s why I only use these apps as a last resort or if ya boi is real live hungry like that...Like how I am now :wow: I only do the delivery fee ones that are no more than $3.99 tho

There's reasons restaurants like Buffalo wild wings, Taco Bell, outback steakhouse and Applebees, Wendy's, Kfc, burger king, McDonald's never delivered.

Y'all gon learn tho.

Ironically, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Outback have since joined the app delivery business with DoorDash and GrubHub :dead:

Yeah. There's money to be made. Why wouldnt they?

America will make fat shaming illegal and fat people will become a protected class in America. Mark my words.
