Kyle play calling made him do it.
Who the fukk even are you?
Still doesn't negate the face y'all been the Niners bytch for years. Y'all going to be on the couch when playoff time comes just like the Niners
the best playmaker in the league has been hurt all year along with other elite players...yet yall are blaming the coach? the fukk
My argument is that Kyle is the reason the team and roster is elite, which makes him an elite HC. I don't know any player who left this team and balled out in another system besides Mostert last year. It's not like we're stacked with first round picks all across the offense, Kyle has pulled elite production out of a 7th round QB, some UDFA RBs, a 5th round TE, a 7th round WR...the vast majority of coaches in the league are struggling worse with better resources. Plugging in another HC and offensive system with these players isn't guaranteed to match Kyle's production. There are a lot of great coaches who haven't gotten the job done yet (LaFleur, McDermott, Stefanski, Campbell) yet no one is calling for their heads. My argument the last two years is that you don't need an elite HC to win a ring when you have the roster we've had for the past 5 years. A *good* HC gets the job done with the type of players we have. We've seen it in plenty of other SB winners that didn't have Beli or Reid/Mahomes.
So you think Andy Reid is the only elite coach in the league? Not at all. Kyle isn't elite. Elite coaches have multiple super bowl rings.
He has regressed in his production, but circumstances have always been a factor for every other QB. QBs aren't paid on the expectation that no other player on offense will contribute. This is why the Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, Bengals and Ravens have all spent a first round pick on a WR in the past couple of years.Brock has 3 more games to show what kind of QB he is. Is he deserving of a long term mega deal or is he simply not a franchise QB and we give him a stop gap deal? He has regressed this year no matter how you slice it. Not all on him, but when has that ever been a factor for any other QB?
I hope he cements himself as the longterm starter or mid. It will make the decision easier. Looks like teams are exploiting the weaknesses in this offense.
Y'all are in such a tough spot with him. Like I legit think he's a good QB with processing what's happening on the field and reading defenses. I just don't know if he's worth top 5/10 QB money. I've always been against paying huge QB money to one that's not an elite QB since the team is gone have to skimp in other places. I'd be tempted to explore what type of trade value he has and see if a QB desperate team would give up a haul.Brock has 3 more games to show what kind of QB he is. I completely agree that if this team for some reason handcuffs itself by committing to playing without our RB1 and WR1 for the foreseeable future and do nothing to improve the OL, then paying Brock all that money would be a mistake. Same way it would be a mistake to give any QB a long term mega deal with that stipulation.
If our offense moving for the foreseeable future will be Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Isaac Guerendo, Juan Jennings, old fat Deebo, and Puni as our best OL then yeah we shouldn't be paying him and should probably blow up the team and start from scratch. Fortunately we have 2 all-pro skill players on roster that will come back and improve the offense, and we have draft capital and cap space to improve the offense, so this it's likely that this year's relatively low production from Brock will be an anomaly. He's proved he can produce at an elite level with a non-skeleton crew offense, so I'm choosing to believe he can return to that approximate level when the offense is healthy again.
