There's a misconception around the league that when you pay your QB... you can't retain anyone else. It's not really true. Yes, you have to get creative with some contracts and yes you will lose some depth but you can still pay a couple receivers and another skill player and put together a decent OL.

Also, every QB struggles when they have zero weapons. Pat Mahomes right now has 6 TDs and 8 INTs and Kelce is actually out there...

Defense is carrying KC right now. Good for them because the offense has certainly had their moments over the years as well. A team doesn't win 3 Super Bowls without having a balanced squad.

I’m just talking shyt to talk shyt. Purdy is a legit good QB. What people always fail to realize that even if you have talented players to step in for the injured ones it still takes time to develop chemistry and get on the same page with the new weapons. KC’s defense has afforded them the luxury of slowly bringing along the offense after losing so many top weapons in such a short period of time. Purdy will struggle over the next couple of games IMO but it won’t be due to him being a bad QB. More so just needing time to mesh with the new cast.

I also believe that’s why SF started off as a heavy YAC team when Purdy first started out. Keep it simple and let the weapons work to now where Purdy has that chemistry and the team can call deeper routes.
