Really doesn't matter to me if it was a makeup call or not. That call was still awful. I saw the call y'all are talking about. The umpires have been trash this season when it comes to calling balls and strikes. I'm tired of seeing balls caught on the opposite batters box line be called a strike.

Umps have been good this series...

You can't really be mad at him for the make up call, Gary swung at a retarded pitch and should have been called out...

I told yall last series we got lucky with Boone against twinkies...His micro-managing of the pen and lack of feel for the game is disgusting and IMO cost us last nights game...I don't understand the logic behind not letting Green go another batter with how lights out he was...I don't give a fukk what the binder says, after 160+ games you should know your pitcher and use your fukking eyes to determine if he can go another batter...The dude was hitting 98 on the gun and painting the corners with his fastball when you pulled him...

So if you want to blame somebody blame Boone and I also did not agree the 3rd base coach sending DJ home from second on that infield hit...I don't give a fukk how bad Gary has looked at the plate, you don't send a slow runner home and waste bases loaded with one of you power bats coming up...Not a smart move sending him IMO...

You’re really gonna shyt on Boone when he pieced together 4 straight wins and almost 5 if Ottavino didn’t lob a pitch down the middle and the offense had half a pulse? There’s nothing lucky about where we are right now.

And bring on the rain for Wednesday. That likely means Tanaka/Greinke game 4 and I’ll take that any day, especially at home

Boone didn't piece together shyt...

He's got the best bullpen in the majors by a wide margin...

There was no logical game reason to pull Green when he did, he made that decision purely based on what the binder says completely disregarding Greens dominance on the mound...

That's a problem, a problem I have been pointing out since last year where he taxed the pen and had to punt a fukking playoff game in the 4th inning...

A manager has to know his players and has to have a feel for the game...Boone clearly doesn't have that...

On the flipside...

A rain out on Wednesday would make Tanaka available for Game 4 and Paxton could pitch Game 5. Greinke and JV would be available, but they'd be pitching in NY instead of Houston.

I'd like to think that's an advantage for the Yankees :porter:

Definitely helps Paxton who pitches much better at the Stadium.

This ain’t the time to blame Boone. Through ten innings, Houston scored 2 runs and they were 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position. The offense on the other hand scored 2 runs in 11 innings, had just 3 at bats period with runners on, and when Gardner had his hit near the end, that was their first base hit in 5 innings. If you can’t put up 3 runs over 11 innings and don’t allow anything from the 6th to the 10th, it ain’t on the pitching or coaching. The call to send DJ home was horrible though.

MThe DJ thing is defensible seeing the full field replay though because it does require a lot to go right to make that play and a very good defensive play . However I wouldn’t of sent him because it most likely takes JV out the game then and there .

My issue with Boone is why have a short leash with Tanaka if your not planning to pitch him in game 4? And also Boone needs to sometimes read the game instead of simply following some script he has in his brain . Greene was dealing why rush out ottavino save some bullets in the chamber for later in the game

The Daily News implied that Tanaka wanted to come out after 6 innings because he had 68 "stressful" pitches, not sure what that means.

Sevy gives us 6 innings and matches Cole, that is what I am hoping for.
