The world mistakenly assumes most Americans are bright people because of the ficticious image Hollywood portrayed to the world through its movies for decades and the economic might of the country..as in how can a nation so wealthy have such dumb people for citizens.

But it must be understood that America is really just New York and California, that's the cultural and economic powerhouse the world sees.

Nah, lowkey Americans are viewed as dumb in other parts of the world. I do agree though that Hollywood is a big factor in the image that’s been crafted over the decades but if we’re honest social media has done a lot to undo that by giving people an honest glimpse into American life, some of which looks retarded from the outside.
