I think some of yall are missing the point because you don't like him.
Tip toeing around that word...and racism in general is part of the reason why we are going through the cycle again. If we are to truly begin to process this shyt out of our system it can't be tip toed around, or coded, it has to be called wtf it is.
This is how you end up with "urban" and "thug" being used in the media in regard to black folks, making it look like the people involved or covering it have a different agenda than dehumanizing black folk while playing within the "social norms" that say it's no longer acceptable to be racist in public. It gives institutions and media outlets an out when it comes to their behavior.
It's become less appealing to be seen as a racist than it is to actually be one....Donald Sterling ain't on record saying the "n-word" throughout his ordeal that lost him his team, yet he has done more real harm to black people than 99% of random rednecks who have no qualms about letting it fly. That is the effect of demonizing the word to the degree that actual racists can hang their hat on not saying the word while doing shyt that completely eclipse whatever cultural sting it may have however many years after it's become such a taboo.
That's what those two black reporters who were debating the issue (not this video) didn't get, nor did the white dude. I wish I could have been on that panel and interrupted both of those fukking idiots to really break down how bigots being more "polite" about their bigotry out of fear of being publicly shamed is what's helping to keep the shyt alive.
At some point public lynchings stopped being P.C. Even racist whites were like "I don't like ******s...but public mutilation? Who's gonna clean this up? This isn't very good PR guys"
I've even seen some of those st0rmfr0nt idiots make it seem like they are mad at Dylan Roof for what he did. Not because they care about the innocent lives, but because it's a PR disaster for them and their cause. Obama putting that word on the table is bad PR for America, because Americas public image, especially concerning race is a crock of shyt.
