But Dame cared too much about the optics….he even said he knew it would be a perfect fit playing with Bron and AD but being “being solid and winning in Portland” mattered too much to him. Fast forward 6 months later the Blazers have started blowing up the team and are gonna be in full rebuild mode soon and unless he wants to play on a rebuilding squad Dame is gonna have demand a trade anyway.
Dame is my nikka. But he really fukked himself by being so outspoken on this “staying solid” and “loyal” shyt. Portland just started blowing up the team right up from underneath him…and now he’s at their mercy. He could have just took control of his own shyt and been competing for championships like he should be.
Seen Dwight do the same thing years ago. Had deal in place to go Brooklyn with deron Williams and backed out because he “loved Orlando and the fans” and didn’t want to leave them the way Shaq did. Stayed “solid” only for them to turn around and trade his ass a year later to a team that he never actually wanted to go to.
