Russ was awful last night and has been bad many nights but some of y’all doin too much calling him one of the woat players. Whether you want to believe it or not, he’s been a positive more nights than he’s been a negative and I’m of the belief that he’s not the reason why we’re 19-19. Injuries and having the worst C rotation in the league is a way bigger factor. Honestly Russ not having a lob threat has fukked up his game in some ways. We need to get a big that can help the vertical game. Russ has also helped Bron tremendously this year in ways Schroeder couldn’t. How many times has Russ set up Bron for easy baskets?
Bron is finding out what it's like to play with a real point guard.

Which is why this arrangement will work if Bron continues to play off ball more.

Honestly, Russ was right in his interview. It's not about his turnovers or his shooting. It's about continuing to unlock the Lakers scoring potential, from Monk to LeBron.

I'll say this, if the Lakers win the title this year and Russ is FMVP, Bron will become the true GOAT.

It's the only way.

"that's arguable"

meaning someone could argue that. It's not something I would argue but I can understand why someone would see it that way.

You're searching for things that aren't there. My feelings on Russ good and bad are in this thread, they're easy to find, no need to manipulate my words.

I also never said transition passes to Bron. In fact, it's moreso in the halfcourt. You're once again being dishonest.

The only thing you’ve been arguing is that Russ has gotten Bron easier looks. That’s all? That’s enough?

If you’re good with that then hey:yeshrug:

Not gonna go back and forth with someone as dishonest as you’ve been. Like I said, my arguments are in this very thread but when you and that other dude show up once every 2 months in a thread, of course you won’t see them or even take the time to see them. My only argument is that he makes Bron’s job easier yet I’ve been getting slandered for being a Russ stan. Make it make sense. Why would I stan a dude who I believe his only asset is transition passes to Bron(which is an argument YOU lied and said I made)

Man the Russ experience is both hilarious and sad at the same time. How does a guy go from one of the top 10 best players in the league to one of the top 10 worst players in the league (top 5) overnight?

When has that ever happened in history?

That’s really why this team isn’t nearly as good as even last year. Because they traded quality players and depth for one of the worst players in the league. nikkas traded a dollar for a penny:mjcry:

Eh it's more like a 50cents or a quarter for a penny. We traded Kuzma and KCP for Westbrook. I don't see our record being drastically different with them. Maybe we would have a win or two extra.

So because I may have misquoted your statement on Russ getting Bron buckets in the halfcourt as opposed to getting buckets in transition I’m being dishonest:gucci:

That’s neither here nor there. And a meaningless thing to waste my time lying about.

I get that you’re feeling defensive about having the unpopular opinion but I’ve actually agreed with several points you made and I’ve told you this. The only thing I don’t agree with is you saying Russ is making Bron’s life easier…because of all other things he is constantly doing wrong besides that ONE thing u keep harping on.

And I’m this thread much more than “once every 2 months” nikka. Why you being dishonest for:mjgrin:

THT is such a confidence player. His first two games this season he dropped 20+. That's because the team had a major ball handler out and THT was playing with freedom. Was even shooting 3s well.

The moment Bron/Russ were running, THT's fit, game and confidence has gone to shyt. He looks 20% of the player he actually is. He doesn't look comfortable at all, even when he has the ball he looks at Bron and Russ.

He is 21. If he had Malik Monk's level of confidence, the Lakers wouldn't ever consider a trade. Someone gotta step in here and really take him under their wing.

I mean, fit and role matters. That was the narrative on Kuz too but look at him in Washington. Wouldn’t shock me if THT looked 50x better on another team with a different role. Lakers got him playin as a spot up shooter with minimal ball handling. No excuses tho because he’s been ass but he’s not as bad as he looks.

I’d sign Collison to another 10 day and Stanley and Avery for the rest of the season. Cut DJ to make room.
Hopefully they clear another roster spot by trading Bazemore as well
