The Dominican hate in this thread is atrocious. My god I see this all the time here in the Coli... It wasn't this bad in sohh.
Anyway thats fukked up that people were to do some shyt like that and it's fukked up what they're doing to so many Haitians by denying them citizenship.
That said you Coli nikkas love to hate on Dominicans and not all are racist and hate Haitians . Both my parents are Dominicans but are black/white. I have Haitians in my family my mom remarried and my step dad was Haitian. My little sister is half Haitian... shyt I'd be chillin in little Haiti from time to time when they were married. Their culture is incredible and I remember being at Haitian parties dancin to compá and eating tassou.... wish their wasn't as much hate between our countries.
You can't group all Dominicans together in their way of thinking, that's bullshyt and unfair!

since when do Dominicans look "mostly" white?
On average they more somewhat more mixed looking than black Americans. Just as many black Americans are more mixed than Haitians.

Because our anti-blackness is embedded into our consciousness. It's displayed in every part of our lives as Dominicans.
Which is sad because some of these 'outsiders' are making valid points. Instead of defending shyt, why don't you accept and acknowledge the fact that we are conditioned to hate our African ancestry? Anti-blackness exists in our government, in our schools, in our families. It is almost impossible to get away from. I don't get why that's so hard for you to believe.
As Dominicans living or born in the US, we're lucky we're armed with the knowledge to be able to unlearn this shyt and go back and talk to our families and friends and try to school them. It's a process. shyt is not gonna change or magically disappear because you want it to. You need to speak about it.
