I'm talking about self-hating blacks hating blacks.

But what those self-hating blacks do not understand is that by claiming Dominican but not claiming black, they're acquiescing to white supremacy.

The root of the DR/Haiti beef is that Haitians came through and stomped the buildings of Hispaniola and drove the Spanish out in the process. Self-hating Dominicans would rather see themselves as Spanish (read: white) than ever admit they're black and view Spain--not Africa--as the motherland despite the fact that 70-80% of their ancestry comes from Africa.

Cultural identity is a red herring.

Why do blacks killing blacks in Hispaniola get labeled as self-hating?

There are so many examples of cultural violence of people of the same race and you don't seem to care or acknowledge those.

I am serious. It is very much the trend in TLR.

In America we see race. Us vs them. Color vs Color. Around the world they are far more about culture and Nationalism.

Black Americans are people without a country, as in a lot of what America stands for happened to be born out of our suffering. It is ingrained in us

my initial statement on that argument was that poor dominicans get treated like shyt despite color. purely white dominicans(which are rare) dont have any leg up just because they white if they from some shythole town just like black dominicans. i know because i have white and black relatives in DR and guess what? they ALL left dr to come here for a better life. the white ones didnt say "nah we should stay we white we run this country".

the only people with advantages are people born into money.

Here lies the problem; Using nationalism to cover over you genetic reality. Ask yourself this; If the Dominican republic disappeared today then what race would you be? Personally,if the goes south today I'm still a Black man.

Dude I never said there wasn't. I said it isn't the same. Here a poor white person still has advantage over a poor black because there are tons of social programs to help poor people. A poor white can get on welfare and help his kids finish high school even tho he has a bad job with minimum wage. Once u finish high school u have a chance at college and a great life and yes white Americans have a leg up here.

But in DR if u poor there are no programs to feed u and ur kids so u can help them focus on school. No. If u poor then guess what u taking ur kids out of school when they old enough to work and putting them on the corner to sell limonsillos. And I've bought limonsillos on the corner from white and black Dominicans but I've never bought oranges on the highway from a white guy in this country.
