He's gonna turn 33 in couple months and he's had two season ending injuries. Like what realistic expectations would be there? To expect a whole season of 20+ pt average and a great defense is just not possible. Other players had it way worse. Look at Blake, only year older, had major injury history and his game is basically useless at this point since he actually depends on athleticism unlike Klay.

20+ pt average and great defense is one thing, but it's another where it looks as if Klay has completely forgotten how to shoot. Even in Blake Griffin's case, he helped prolong his career by improving on his jumpshot and 3pt. People like to say that shooters don't forget how to shoot, but that's obviously not the case with Klay and I say that as someone who said last year that he was never going to be the same player again.

Even someone like David Bertans hasn't forgotten how to shoot and he has had two ACL injuries as well.

If he can’t get to the basket and is inconsistent shooting the ball, and consistently gets burned on defense and then you should know what time it is. At this point Klay just needs to stop talking and play better, dude is still talking about overcoming the injuries as if he didn't come back already last season and average 20 and win a title. I get he had the offseason Achilles tear in his head but he put himself in this position by not playing any pickup or scrimmaging all summer to the point where he wasn't in playing shape.

Best response I've seen wit this Klay press. Klay is not washed physically to me, of course he's a lil slower and heavier, but he's still able to get the exact same shots he did before the injuries. He's just not making em one and he's compounding the issue by chucking shots that were never his MO two. And it's cuz he's pressing......and tbh he's pressing because the media and NBA fans alike did him no favors during his absence. And oh my god, the week of his return you would've thought MJ was coming outta retirement for the third time. HIS HEAD HAS BEEN GASSED!
