this a cop out, kendrick been releasing albums for 12 years, that's plenty of time to release duds. most of everyones faves from the 90's released a dud in their first 12 years
That nikka got 2 duds imo. His last 2 aint all that. On top of the fact that I don't fukk wit TPAB the way other people do. Then add to the fact he been out 12 years and took long ass hiatus.

How many albums in 12 years though? He hasnt been as prolific as the greats
6 projects in 12 years plus a soundtrack is a decent output (and basically two albums he ghost wrote for keem and jay rock), in that same time nas had 8 albums and two side projects (brave hearts and the firm) not like he was putting up drake or posthumous pac numbers

Ok, a lot of personal opinion in here. And the pandemic extended his hiatus for two more years as it did for a lot of people, before then he was on a consistent every ~1.5-2 year cycle. That’s what most artists used to do until this easily forgotten form of the music industry evolved, says a lot he doesn’t need to put out 1-2 projects a year

Cole and Drizzy didn't have this same issue. And u shyt on Cole any chance u get. U don't fukk wit him at all. I been a fan of Kendrick from the beginning. Homie just gets inflated something serious. I was a fan of Kendrick back when trying to put people on him and nikkas ain't fukk wit his voice or rap style like that.

Kendrick doesn't have anywhere near the amount of unreleased music as Nas within that same period. Not even close. Nas on some Pac shyt when it comes to quality unreleased music.

You don’t know what you’re talking about, I was an early cole fan from the come up and warm up days, riding for him long before I even heard a Kendrick project and I was like one of the few riding for the KOD album :dead: I shyt on cole’s inability to make good music at times, don’t confuse critique and not being a stan with dislike. Cole also only put out 6 albums in this time, he did give us three label compilations tho, something TDE lacked

Kendrick is not the same type of artist as drake, drake is a volume shooter so no point of binging him up

I don’t feel Kendrick is overrated, people do too much in over analyzing everything he does, and those are two separate issues. A lot of people (of a certain age) have an implicit bias against considering anyone who debuted in the 10’s as a top 10 talent, which leads to a lot of pure hate or pushback against Kendrick, it is what it is. Drake too (I’d never consider him top 10 but I see why when taking everything about being an artist into consideration some people would)

Who cares about unreleased music, we’re talking shyt available to everyone at retail. Everyone in real time did not have access to nor listen to unreleased nas tracks and no one judged unreleased music as a dud or classic, you judge projects.

Ok how bout this. Nas just dropped 4 albums within a span of 2 years better than an album Kendrick took 5 years to make. Yet Kendrick still won a Grammy off that shyt. Lol. Its a joke.
