No. Kendrick isn’t even as active like Nas was back then jumping on remixes and other songs. He’s got a long way to go to even scratch the surface Nas been on.
Kendrick's only 5 mic classic to me is GKMC (I know others feel differently about TPAB but just not a classic to me). Nas 5 mics classics are Illmatic, IWW and The Lost Tapes. It's early but Magic is probably a 5 mic too. Stillmatic, LIG and KDII are 4.5 mics at worst, so they are near classics and I won't debate anyone who says they are 5 mics. I Am is a personal classic. So Nas definitely got more classics than Kendrick - not even a debate really.

Magic is fire, really not one bad song on it. So if an album has no bad songs how it is not a classic? It's early but mark my words when it's all said and done Magic is gonna be in Nas top 5 albums no question. shyt people are saying that already. LIG and KDII are both great albums, maybe a couple misses here and there (Summer on Smash, Brunch on Sundays) but both undeniably really solid. What would you have them at, 4 mics? If so I have them at 4.5 mics which isn't really that big of a difference.

Magic is 9 songs. For an album that short to be classic (like Illmatic) it gotta be straight thru no skips. Magic has skips. To me 6 out of 9 songs are good.
Also, just a full album of ‘good’ tracks don’t make a classic, it’s gotta have classic songs. Deep songs. This doesn’t have that
LIG has the classic songs, but Nas makes it hard bc he will include some utterly atrocious songs. The Mary joint, the Anthony Hamilton joint..but I’ll agree it’s 4.5, its just squarely there, not a ‘4.5 almost 5’
KD2 I see as more as an ‘album full of good tracks’, but lacking the depth or ‘classic’ feel like LIG. Or even 4:44. Song for song quality kd2 and 4:44 are similar but a) jay z cut the fat, there are no filler tracks like Nas has (40 side, EPMD

) and b) jay has more depth, more of a theme. Kd2 is like a compilation of songs. Jay gives you legacy, Marcy me, kill jay z, smile…So I actually may not disagree with you on the score, maybe kd2 is 4.5, but again i see it as squarely there, not a ‘almost classic’

I'm going by the Source rating. If 5 mics is classic, then 4.5 mics is a step down but still near classic or "superior". Magic has no skips for me, it's an album where I can play the whole thing through in one listen. You may have a point that it doesn't have "deep songs" (besides Ugly which is touching on an important topic) like some of his other albums, it's less conceptual, but it's more a Nas just rapping his ass off over bangers type of record which is a nice change of pace for him tbh. I'm not mad at anyone saying it's a 5 mic. I'm maybe not quite ready to put it there because it's still early but if LIG and KDII are 4 to 4.5's then Magic is a 4.5 too at the very least.
40 Side and YKTV are both good to me. I agree there are better songs on KDII but they are both cool. 40 Side is lowkey kinda a banger actually, it's Nas over more trap production than his usual type of beats but it still rides. I think 4:44 and KDII are about equal on depth. Death Row East, Moments, Nobody, My Bible, etc., these are songs with solid concepts.

DAMN is a easy classic. Layup classic. I think people are comparing it to GKMC. It’s not that good, but overall it’s there. It’s his most cohesive project. It’s succinct, has a theme. No filler. Easier to sit back and play thru. Even the singles don’t stray from the formula (Love and Loyalty). Humble is the only song I feel that colors outside the linesDAMN ain't a classic

And every classic album needs those 2 or 3 classic introspective songs and he has that with Fear and Feel
I like DAMN but no album with GOD and PRIDE can be a classic.
I love Pride…the song God I’m with you. But that argument doesn’t really hold weight. Stillmatic has Braveheart party which is in the running for worst song ever recorded. It’s so bad they tried to rewrite history and remove it from future versions.
I think you can have A dud if literally every other song goes. More than 2 is when you have to remove it from the conversation
