Woah.

Glad the little nugget from season 1 is going to pay off and we get some more history of Gallifrey.

As for Spyfall 2, it was good. This version of the Master is actually menacing in a competitive way that Missy and Sims weren’t.

Good to see the companions get some shine and the villains were genuinely evil. Don’t do your moms like that!!

This ended up being a Moffat style timely-wimey but it actually walked up through the Doctor catching up vs just telling us after the fact.

THIS is the Master we deserve. No prancing around like a jester, no cackling hee hee haw haws.... just intelligence and barely contained rage. An insanity that oozes. This that Delgado/Jacobi Master that we got robbed of when Simm got introduced. Props to them for not waiting 10 years to bring The Master back, and props to Sacha Dhawan for NAILING the role.

I agree about Sacha Dhawan's killing it as The Master.
There was no jokey nonsense with him. It was just pure brilliant insane rage.
Everything I loved about The Master and hadn't seen in the character since the brief moments we got of Derek Jacobi before the regeneration into Simms.

I was wondering how people in America watch this show. Do you watch on BBC America? I noticed that there is a channel logo and even a Doctor Who hashtag on the screen along with the age rating thing on the corner. Is that all the time AND ad breaks?

Does it not drive you mad?!?!

Ok thanks folks. I usually download a copy straight after it airs to add to my bulging Who collection so was thinking of uploading it to my Google Drive in case anyone needed a link.

It's good to see positivity for the show on here. Some other forums I use are painful to read with their constant whinging and negativity. The Who specific forums are a disgrace. Had to stop using them so it's good to have fans on here with a positive outlook on things.

:heh: nah, we may mope a bit when eps are wack, but we're not gonna harp on and on about how much we hate shyt.

we simply won't watch.

Some folks will go on about how much they hate a show then come back next week to watch the ep and talk about how much they hate the show.

The show hasn't been downright unwatchable, and none of us are bothered that The Doctor is a woman.

It's just hard having average episodes after coming off the GOATness that was Capaldi/Moffatt, or the sheer lunacy and long term planning of Moffatt/Smith.

I feel like the internet consciences was Capaldi was letdown by Moffat scripts and hated Clara.

And Smith lost his way after the first season and Clara sucked.

The Internet has no idea what they're talking about. The Whovian fanbase hates everything but Tennant/Rose, 4th/Sarah Jane and Big Finish 7th

Smith was great as an ancient child genius and clara at her most insufferable was the bees knees. That on top of Moffatt's ultra long term timey wimey plotting and the River Song tragic love story made Smith's run one of my faves. On top of watching The Doctor gaining, losing, and dealing with the grief of losing his first actual family on screen since Susan Foreman.

I never hated Clara but I did think the showrunners dropped the ball with the character almost immediately after her debut.

Amy/Rory are still loved

It feels like River Song lost a lot of luster with fans after her first few appearances.

And the Clara hate definitely coincidences with a certain downtrend in the show.

I thought Clara/12 were great but it does feel like Moffat was repeating a lot of his hits by the end of his run.
