Anyone going to check out the new version of Shada from the Tom Baker era? The original cast came back for animated scenes to complete the story and Baker is doing one new live-action scene. Releases 12/04 in the UK and 01/08 in the US. Just pre-ordered it. :banderas:

Yeah. Mainly because it has been a long time since I saw the story. Interested to see what's next on the list. Would prefer them to be consistent with the Animation though.

Christmas special aired and it had all the Moffat earmarks. Recycled plots and stories. Fanservice moments for no reason.

Wasn't a good send-off for 12.

13's introduction basically like 11 aka stop regenerating in the Tardis!!!

Lol 12 did it and nothing happened.
How is the doctor going to get out of that one?

Episode was pretty dull, waste of Walder Frey who did the first Doctor in that bbc special and a waste of Peter Capaldi. Mark Gatiss is always dope but they gave him and everyone so little to work with.

The actual regeneration was cool, let's see where they take this now as I like that actress.

Even though I had guessed that the captain would be a Lethbridge-Stewart when Mark Gatiss's role was revealed, it still floored me when he said it. A request to check in on his family, something he had done countless times already without ever knowing what was to come.

Murray Gold got a few of his greatest hits in there which was nice. The Clara cameo felt a bit shoehorned in but it was nice to see Nardole again. I knew he was at the battle but thought it would have been a bigger cameo from Matt Lucas.

David Bradley was wonderful but it did rewrite the 1st Doctors characterisation a bit. The smacking of Bill's bottom line was enjoyable though. Going to listen to his new 1st Doc audios with the AAISAT cast in the next few days.

Wasn't too excited about Jodie's casting it the idea of a female incarnation but it all felt quite natural here. And great to finally here her natural Yorkshire accent being spoken in t'Tardis by eck.

But most importantly Moffat is gone. AT LAST. Shame Capaldi never stayed for the first series under Chibnall though. Would liked to have seen what he would have done for his Doctor.

Onwards and upwards. Let's see how Whittaker, Walsh and co do with Chibnall's direction and the new filming style.

Should not have been the christmas special.

Definitely agree about Clara, but this is probably their way of having her do an actual cameo in the future.

Clara won't be back again. Jenna Coleman is far too busy, hence the odd looking pre-filmed insert, and will be in demand for a few years. The show is moving on big time.
