The end of this ep left me wondering....

Was The Doctor upset at Clara for doing what he's been doing the whole season (people died but oh well I saved the day)

or was he upset that he saw himself in her actions and didn't like it?

Contrast "You were an EXCEPTIONAL 'Doctor', Clara. 'Goodness' had nothing to do with it."

with

"Clara.... tell me. Am I a good man?"

:manny: maybe it's that "Addictions" talk they had last ep and he's mad he didn't make the hard choices? Before that shyt he pulled with the moon, Clara was scared to death of hard choices. Now, she has no problem lying to either him or Danny to get what she wants.

It reminds me of stuff that was being said during Matt Smith's run. The real danger between The Doctor and his companions lies in their need to live up to what they think his expectations of them are. To impress him.

I think it was like looking into a mirror and he didn't like what he saw. That's why he wanted it on the record that he tried to first communicate with the Boneless, because he knew he was sending a lot of them to their deaths. Clara's actions and emulation of the Doctor opened his eyes to the things he does, so he's back on the "good man" kick.

I really hope Missy is the Rani. They really need to bring her back.

I think it was seeing how easily Clara took to the lying and manipulating that bothered him from how easily she lied to him and Danny about continuing to travel in the Tardis and how she very quickly took to lying and manipulating when it came time for her to take charge of everything against The Boneless.

This was the worst episode of the season but the ep right before the finale begins is usually a bit of a fial for Doctor Who.
The character moments were really good but the actual story was dumb.
