I said no. He never felt dominant enough to me, like MJ or Lakers Shaq. Not as skilled as Kobe or Hakeem. His longevity is no better than Kareem. His prime no better than Bird. Duncan won more against stiffer competition, and was a better two-way player. Bill Russell. LeBron underachieved IMO. He's not eligible.

And this is exactly why Lebron is hands down a top 5 player. You had to take the best attributes of 8 different players to knock Lebron out of your top 5.

Lebron was more Dominant than Kobe and Olajuwon

Lebron was more Durable than Jordan and Duncan

Lebron's Longevity was longer than Jordan and Magic

Lebron's prime was longer than Bird and Shaq

Lebron was a #1 option his entire career unlike Kobe

Lebron did not get drafted by a good team with Hall of Famers like Magic, Bird and Kobe.

Lebron did not have the luxury of playing with goat level talent for an extended period of time like Magic, Kareem, Bird and Kobe

Lebron's 3-6 finals record (and 2011)) is the main argument against him......All I'm saying is that there needs to be a little more context.

Bron Ball will always make sure he has great stats because everything is funneled through him.

It's not about just stats, but does those stats have a meaningful impact on the game
More often than not they haven't in regards to the Finals

This is silly...What all-time great player does not take the most shots or have the offense ran through them?......Lebron's stats have to have some meaning. He's made the finals 9 times and has won 3 rings.

Career usage rate:

Jordan: 33.3
Kobe: 31.8
Lebron: 31.5

This nonsense was already rebuffed in a thread I created. Unfortunately, it gets repeated often enough for even an intelligent person like Magic to say it.

But its something Bron fans will cling to for another 10 years while Lebron continues to catch L's in actual high stake playoff games.

Lebron has never been a #2 on his team going into the finals, cant add kareem.
Russell played against paperboy and milkmen.
Kobe was number 2 for over half of his rings.
Lebron's won more than hakeem.
Bird was great but didnt have the longevity.
Lebron is the only player other than MJ where the entire NBA had to stack the deck against him to win. And I would say the league worked even harder to stop LeBron.
As someone said before he's the only player who people take away from his legacy for making the finals. It is better to lose in the finals than getting your ass kicked in the first and second rounds. We dont shyt on other players for getting knocked out early as shyt but only give them credit when they win? What kind of logic is that?
But he also had to stack the deck to win :dead:
