Do you think Hov doesn't want to drop another album because he's afraid his sales will brick?

Nah I don't think about its sales. I think he knows he doesn't have another great album in him.

So he and Jay Electronica album doesn't count? 🤔
Why do y’all keep using the sales of side collaboration projects that never sell as much as full length solo studio LP’s to try to discredit Jay? It was The Carters now this.

Edit: as a matter of fact that’s not even a Jay album at all just because he’s heavily featured doesn’t make it a Jay album, nobody cares about Jay Electronica that shyt did what it did because of Jay features lol

I’m not sure he cares about sales, he does care about how the album would be perceived

Since 2006, he’s had 1 good album (AG) and mostly duds or forgettable projects

No, I’m sure that’s not the case…realistically, if Jay were to drop it’d outsell the entire Nas/Hitboy series combined in one week

I think he’d be more concerned with how a new album would affect whatever image he’s trying to project these days

Jay's last verse for God Did could be a career high, drop the mic and walk moment, to me.

kinda doubt someone like Jay is sitting around theorizing on how to sell more albums. None of these guys do. They have some junior level marketing team to do the social media promo, cross promo, throw a billboard on Sunset, a Hulu spot, and obsess about streaming numbers on a Slack chat or whatever.

He can still talk about anything like his God Did verse, it hasn’t been long since this dropped. If he taps in with Just Blaze again it’s a wrap.
