First part is an easy fix if nobody gets the phrase "or so". Lets just say 12 years.
I don't have an issue with what you said about Beyonce, but again I said thats how it was promoted, not that it was an accurate representation.
And the last part may be subjective, but I think MCHG's hits just had good promotion. They didn't stick, no DJ is throwing that on unless its an all Jay-Z set for variety. I don't think Timbaland has helmed any big albums since the 00s. Trying to make another big budget Jay album with trendy (and some
) features again seems like an obvious mistake to me.
I just don't see anybody over 50 having a big hit. The cutoff might even be 45. That goes for all genres. Anyway, my whole point was that hes adaptable and smart, he'll find a way for the next album to be successful in some way. I think really only Kingdom Come and MCHG failed, and he was able to learn from them.
