You can build your own ai for about 600 dollars. The cat is out of the bag and it's only a matter of time before it starts affecting the job market.

I've had chatgpt for about 3 weeks now and it's made my personal life bette I know it would make me even more productive at work but I was told to not use it while working. I've built a new workflow spreadsheet for my entire department and waiting for my annual review in May to show the head of underwriting.

I don't know how to code or program, but I'm watching YouTube beginners videos on how to code and program via these A I tools and it will accelerate my learning process because I don't have to spend year's in school.

See I’m glad you posted this, cause I’ll refuse to listen. If you consider it, the ai madness will come from people presenting you it, so logically for me, I seek out authentic artist for my needs in that regard. You’re not gonna see ai copying the local band in the downtown bar, you’ll see it come from big establishments, so I’ll be among those not indoctrinated. But everything you said will be true and people will be faced with a choice, immerse yourself in a reality other people build for you, or stop running away from intellectual responsibility and live in the real world with people who want to give you their true selves

music is just one example. whether you personally watch something or not, AI is going to end up affecting you in one way or another. there is no way around it. you go on the internet, you will be affected. AI is already making porn, driving cars, writing code. Whats to stop some nutter from making a deepfake of someone famous, or even someone from you/your family/friends saying something outlandish? The newest generative AI can create videos from text. You ever have google maps redirect you because of an accident? AI. Face ID? AI. Of course it has its benefits and if used properly, can be great. But I don't doubt that it will be misused.

Lol these guys aren't the only one who should be scared shytless, every person who's job is related to using a computer is in the crosshair of AI. We can be facing potentially massive unemployment and the social unrest and crimes that comes with that. A lot more people than billionaires should be worried about the future of society with the advancement of AI.

If you think these Republican conservatives are going to implement some type of scheme to pay jobless people outside of unemployment insurance anytime soon then you're dreaming.
