It depends if its Sierra mist, no HFCS.

I'm not a be healthy nut, but the body doesn't respond well to processed food especially if its consumed in high quantities. Processed foods are broken down to its simplest forms, so it gets absorbed a lot faster so the body doesn't get a gradual increase in blood sugar. This throws off the body chemistry, cause the body treats 200 calories of fruits a lot differently than 200 calories of Coca-Cola. It becomes a vicious cycle, because some of these foods do not produce any type of satiety, so you are hungry again. Also, the stomach treats all these chemicals in processed food and drinks as irritants, so it makes you feel hungry when in fact you just need some rolaids. Also, you can't eat 1,500 calories worth of vegetables without feeling like you are about to explode, but you can eat 3 slices of pizza (1,200 calories) with no problem.

Sierra Mist is not good for you at all. That's just advertising nonsense. The difference between "natural flavors" and artificial flavors is nothing.

Ya I have a few sodas a week. All in moderation

Threads like this always got me :lolbron: . We all know soda is bad so everyone comes in and says they dont drink it lol. If you made a thread about going to the gym, everyone will come in and say they go 5x a week. If you make a thread about eating fast food, everyone comes in and say they never eat it
Im supposed to believe that a hip hop message board full of young people with alot of them spending a majority of there day at the pc on this very board are not drinking soda, eating fast food and living in the gym?

Waits to see whos :umad:

:heh: doubt anyone is mad,

The funny thing is this is posted in HL, the majority of people in are probably 25-26+. Sohh they probably have little, to no reason to fabricate lies to strangers for "attention". Not to mention quite a few people here have careers in the science / health industry.

As far fast food it should be done in moderation, I actually quit eating fast food again while trying to bulk up recently. Too many chemical additives in food. The size I was gaining wasn't worth, the potential sickness and the sluggish fatigue my body endured. Are you suggesting that listening to hip-hop & rap is synonymous with an unhealthy lifestyle? :shaq2:

And a mere 45 post, is not a representation of 5,000+ members. It's a simple, yes or no, imagine all the soda drinkers who lurked, like :wtf: are these clowns talking about soda is awesome, but didn't want to get bombarded by true statements / facts :shaq2::lolbron::whoo:

this some true shyt. It's like visiting basketball messageboards and everybody claim they under 5'11" yet they can all dunk, lol.

can't speak for anyone else here, but that's nothing to a boss :smugdraper:

I've cut waaay back from soda....... even my favorite Ginger Ale has got alot of play from lately. I might do a Cherry Coke or Dr. Pepper once in awhile....but nah...I do juices and teas more now.....and mostly water.

I'll be honest as my uncle says some time......sometimes you need that "bite" that soda provides. He said this at a Golden Corral....it definitely provides that...

If so, why?

The shyt is just a suspension of processed toxic goo that has no nutritional value, lowers your metabolism and leads to obesity, lower bone density, and tooth decay. That goes for all processed sugary drinks

There's no reason to drink them. Water, tea, and the occasional juice. :ahh:

Milk doesnt make your bones stronger and Lemonade and other juices are just as acidic to cause bone decay. If anything I drink the occasional soda but it isnt something I'm downing on a daily. You can make your own sodas now anyway so whats the point of buying em.

Diet, occasionally. Mainly just as a mixer.

But that said, I find it kinda annoying when people get all self-righteous about their dietary habits. :beli:

I drink far more water than anything else.

I've been hoarding grape soda in the basement away from the kids though. :guilty:

I'll go weeks without it, then drink it heavy for a while.

I've been drinking a lot of Pellegrino with lime juice lately, though. That satisfies my soda cravings without all the sugar and whatnot.
