Nope but let’s talk about how the lead actor blew it. Dude had the juice to be the next big action star and fumbled the bag like Taylor kitsch
Outside of the first sequel the rest of those films might not happen
It all depends on box office performance
I'd honestly rather have a sequel to Alita Battle Angel, Avatar really doesn't need one since it was essentially Pocahontas with CGI and The Matrix elements sprinkled in

He didn't fumble it though. He just turned out to be Peyton Hillis and proved he didn't really belong there.Nope but let’s talk about how the lead actor blew it. Dude had the juice to be the next big action star and fumbled the bag like Taylor kitsch
This. I know it won't happen at least not for a while but I would like to see the superhero movie bubble pop and let it transition to TV. (I know it already has but you get my drift)It honestly astounds me how quickly this movie faded in our collective memory. For about a year or so there, it was huge. It made a ridiculous amount of money, ushered in a new 3D craze, had all kinds of TV parodies, and then you heard stories about people killing themselves because Pandora wasn't real or whatever. And then, after that brief craze faded... nothing. You really don't hear about Avatar anymore.
I have no interest in sequels to Avatar, because I wasn't a fan of the first movie, but I will say this: it would be nice to have a successful original sci-fi/fantasy film franchise. Not another comic book superhero or other established IPs. And if nothing else, Pandora seems like it would be a good setting to have all kinds of different stories.
