Light skin is the standard of beauty in the black community... The more exotic and further away from Black you look the more call backs for jobs you will get (studies have proven that attractiveness gets paid more)
Light skin is perceived as innocent and angelic
Light skin/foreign/exotic (read East African) is considered Blue ribbon trophy status deserving of marriage by most men in the Black community and on this very website
Light skin is praised within Black households (whether people admit to the dirty secret or not)
