Light skin is the standard of beauty in the black community... The more exotic and further away from Black you look the more call backs for jobs you will get (studies have proven that attractiveness gets paid more)
Light skin is perceived as innocent and angelic
Light skin/foreign/exotic (read East African) is considered Blue ribbon trophy status deserving of marriage by most men in the Black community and on this very website
Light skin is praised within Black households (whether people admit to the dirty secret or not)
I could could go on but folks will call me bitter/hating/jealous for stating requested #factsonly

This divisive colorism bullshyt is ridiculous. Are women really this desperate for male validation?
Ugly dark skinned women are the only ones that complain about colorism. So what if a nikka prefers light skin women? There are millions of other men out there that are wifing up dark skinned dimes in droves.
Colorism is just another way to divide us.

I date mostly white men (my boyfriend is white) so I don't have this issue. But for non-light skinned bw (who only date bm) it is an issue.
