Do “Light Skin Girls” really struggle, or is Oprah just trying to make another movie?

There's nothing wrong with a black man having a light skin preference. There's nothing different between that and the women that shyt on short men.

Light skin women are the most desirable, deal with it.

The funny thing is the bytch I was referring to in that post is an ugly lightskin chick :dead:yet she was getting dikked down and getting some dude texting her every 10 minutes(with no replys from her) at the same time!!!!

She avoided summer time sun saying "she didn't want to lose her color" . I guess because that lightskin is the only thing she had going for her(in her eyes).

They do. Hate to say it but it's at the hands of darker women most of the time. Now, I'll put in context. It May not be as much as dark skinned girls go thru since they are victims of the whole "closer to white is right" thing cacs brainwashed up with way back when.

I have a few women in my family on both ends of the color spectrum. The lighter ones almost always had girls in the hood not liking them. "She think she cute/better than everybody" is what I heard the most about them. Girls would try to fight them ALL the time. And when my cousins decided to fight back the other girls ALWAYS tried to pull their hair out and scratch up their faces.
darkskinned women hate the lighter ones because of the attention.

Sure light skin and biracial can have privilege ... It's levels to racism... You didn't know?

Specific examples?.... You are purposely being obtuse...

Light skin is perceived as feminine
Light skin is the standard of beauty in the black community... The more exotic and further away from Black you look the more call backs for jobs you will get (studies have proven that attractiveness gets paid more)
Light skin is perceived as innocent and angelic
Light skin/foreign/exotic (read East African) is considered Blue ribbon trophy status deserving of marriage by most men in the Black community and on this very website
Light skin is praised within Black households (whether people admit to the dirty secret or not)

I could could go on but folks will call me bitter/hating/jealous for stating requested #factsonly

You can believe it... or continue to deny light skin privilege.... Your choice :yeshrug:
truth...lightskinned women are winning in life. Right next to PAWGS

Everybody knows that one high yellow lightskin dude that was extra gangster to make up for people testing him for weakness all the time.

Yep. These two light skinned dudes at my high school had like 6 fights against each other to prove who was the hardest yella. It was funny back then, now that I understand the situation it's sad as hell.

:patrice: Where are ya'll living where colorism is really THAT much of a problem?

The closest I ever got to experiencing "colorism" was when I was in middle school.
I was new to the area, didn't know anybody. My first week, I was just trying to learn my way around the school.

A group of dark-skinned dudes were trying to get me to hang out with them, but I was so preoccupied with trying to situate myself that I didn't pick up on it.
Those dudes started fukking with me all damn year, until finally one of them threw a bowl of grapes on me during lunch. I got up and beat the hell out of him.

Later on, he and the other guys came over to my house and apologized, and said that because I didn't acknowledge them, that they felt that I was purposely ignoring them and that I thought I was better because I was light-skinned.

I also found out that a few of the girls they liked, liked me, so that probably pissed them off even more. :lolbron:

After that, we were cool. I ended up moving again like a year later, anyway, so I never became real close with them.

But, since then, I haven't really experienced a lot of colorism. I think it's more of an issue on Twitter/Instagram than it is in real life, and that shyt can be ignored. :heh: But, maybe I'm just naive. :yeshrug:

I am brown skinned and went to school (elementary) with mostly light skinned kids ( and a lot of light skinned Creoles of color) and the very dark skinned kids were ostracized, teased and tormented. It was not uncommon for the dark skinned kids to be called "blackie", "darkie" "monkey" "baboon" "nappyhead" etc. I remember a little girl in 1st or 2nd grade who was repeated pinched, hit and literally tortured on a daily basis because she was very black.

People love to talk about how light skinned girls are targeted in environments where dark skinned are the majority but I have witnessed the opposite so no one is really innocent.
