The last 3 times AK trended on social media was:

1. Screaming "I'M THE PRIZE!" while accosting a female.

2. Getting everything about the Tory Lanez trial wrong, and having to backtrack.

3. A woman, who posted herself having sex with dogs on Twitter, claimed she dated Ak and he was into it.

Why would anybody want to talk to this clown? Especially legit stars.

shyt like this is why I chuckle when people claim The Coli missed out not by continuing to associate with him. He brings nothing good to the table, publicity-wise.

Fred.

Cole and Kendrick do not fukk with lowbrow ignorant nikka shyt anymore. Why would they hop on those platforms to appeal to the lowest common denominator?

Kendrick is practically a recluse now anyway.

Drake on the other hand barely does interviews anyway. He's one of the biggest artists in the world and a staple in pop culture so he doesn't need to.

nah, this has 0 to do with hiphop culture - this is vultures like akademiks trying to up their content game by getting input from hiphop's current heavyweights.

ak speaking about hiphop culture when his audience consists of people that have absolutely no interest in hiphop culture and just want fukkery is lowkey incredible :mjlol:

guys like ak have managed to push the hiphip media landscape into a direction where music plays no real role anymore - so why does he want to talk to people who take their craft seriously?

Both Cole and Kendrick have a relationship with some great hip hop personalities like Angie Martinez, Letty, DJ Hed, Big Boy, and others. All of whom are more than capable of doing an interview without the bullshyt questions, click bait, etc. I respect and support the way both artists restrict access and don't devalue themselves with nonstop attention. They drop an album, sell a bunch of records, go on an arena tour and then disappear. But I also think there's something important about artists discussing their process, inspiration, etc every now and then. And I'd rather that be done with valued journalists or DJs within the culture than outsiders.
