Hip-hop outlets have all become a c00n & clown show. :yeshrug:

I admit, I've contributed to it, watching nikkas snitchin' on themselves with Vlad & on Art of Dialogue :mjlol:

But it's understandable of nikkaz don't want to talk to dudes who just want to start beefs with other rappers, find out who they fukkin'/fukked, and how gangsta they are.

I don't know how Hip-Hop became so intertwined with gossip culture, but here we are
:yeshrug:
math Hoffa and NORE out here grinning asking you about slimy shyt for YouTube thumbnails

2. hip-hop media has gotten more and more embarrassing over the years including Ak himself who is a clown

Exactly. Some of these platforms are fukking horrible interviewers(Joe and NORE) barely researched(Joe again) and interested mostly in fukkery and click bait gossip(Vlad, Art of Dialogue, etc).

Ppl who get to a certain level are not JUST artists they are a brand and they don't want that messiness fukking up their money.

What exactly would be the motivation for any artist who has full control of their own narrative to sit down with these chatty patty, agenda driven, unprofessional ass nikkas?

DJ Akademicks is cool, but his focus has ALWAYS been on the sensationalist and negative aspects of the culture. His channel is 24/7 gossip, beef, exposes, snitches, and the general distasteful aspects of Hip Hop. There’s zero balance. No album reviews, no takes on the music that isn’t Drake related, nothing but negativity.

Now WHY would Kendrick Lamar, Cole, or Drake interview this nikka when all he’ll do is dig for bullshyt? Ak ain’t really listening to these albums to really have thoughts about the themes present in Mr Morale & The Bug Steppers. He’d dig to know if Kendrick was beefin with TDE and why he left the label.

Hell Elliot Wilson, a THIRTY YEAR Hip Hop journalist, whined and cried and bytched about not getting to interview Nas all of these years and when Nas finally grants him the interview for a major publication (GQ) on the night of a historic sold out concert at MSG, Elliot HAD to ask a dumb ass question about Nas battle with Jay-Z. A battle that took place TWENTY TWO YEARS AGO and had absolutely nothing to do with the four albums Nas was there to celebrate.

If Elliot Wilson displays a poor lack of journalistic integrity then just IMAGINE the shyt show an Akademicks interview would be. REAL Artists don’t need that type of bullshyt. Who the fukk wants to deal with Joe Buddens hating ass? Nore’s drunk, slurring, won’t let the artist finish a thought ass?

Thats why artists are starting to either have their own podcasts or media entities or conducting interviews with the people like Coop from A2HH. Guys who are actually fans and do their research and keep it about the MUSIC.

*clapping*

Siren for not letting people finish their thoughts, dammit! :troll:

Vlad too. It's actually offensive when they call themselves "journalists"

As sad as it is, Vlad can actually get really good interviews on his platform. Interviews that he really shouldn't have. Like Smokey Robinson and Stephanie Mills. :wtf:

Despite his clownish ways, Talib Kweli is one of the best hip hop interviewers.

He actually does his research and lets his guests break things down when answering questions. Too bad his podcast isn't hot like that.

It's ironic that Akademiks, a person who would call himself part of new media hasn't realized that the industry has move to a point where his services really aren't needed by the artists he's complaining about. :mjlol:

He gets good interviews but can be extremely bias and puts out misinformation like crazy. Like the time he interviewed someone who pretended he was in the car when 50 got shot

The last 3 times AK trended on social media was:

1. Screaming "I'M THE PRIZE!" while accosting a female.

2. Getting everything about the Tory Lanez trial wrong, and having to backtrack.

3. A woman, who posted herself having sex with dogs on Twitter, claimed she dated Ak and he was into it.

Why would anybody want to talk to this clown? Especially legit stars.

shyt like this is why I chuckle when people claim The Coli missed out not by continuing to associate with him. He brings nothing good to the table, publicity-wise.

Those podcast numbers looking shaky over there :bryan: This is nothing more than whining to the world that anyone who is worth a damn won’t come and talk to him

Better call on 6ix9ine to get some views :umad:
I completely forgot Akademiks has a podcast. Makes sense that he's pissy about it. He better follow his friend Joe and get some other personalities on there so his show isn't so guest based.

Rappers play the cool card, but even then, a lot of the interviewers are fukking terrible. I'm going through old Source mags, and it's crazy how many good writers/interviewers they had back in the day. We don't really get any of that insight from the people today.

I do wish we had a decent documentary or something around an album or tour. That'd be nice to see.
