I don't have no particular liking or dislike for Melo.

I just hate retarded blame people like you put on players when it makes no sense.

Knicks fans are the worst. They don't get into the playoffs for 6 years, Melo takes them there, now he's holding them back?

Now he's at fault for not "entertaining them" enough in series they in their hearts know they'd lose to both the Celtics and Heat?

You dudes are ass backwards.

Don't make this about me liking someone. Make it about your disjointed and illogical blame game.

They have a losing record in games Melo has started as a Knick. He hasn't really been taking them anywhere.

And him not being a Knick is a difference between your team being in the playoffs and not.

I swear, you're an exhibition in mental retardation.

You put more stock into having a competitive series than having a team put together to win a series. Yet you can't name a player that would have taken them over the top over those two teams.

Stop it.

Once again melo played in the west he didn have the luxury of facing the garbage teams(that likely wouldn't have made the playoffs out west) in the earlier rounds to advance. The Cavs dont make it past rd one in the west either.

Both series would have been at least more competitive.

Why is being "competitive" even a measure? :what:

Second, Melo has a winning record, GETTING the Knicks INTO the playoffs.

You refuse to segregate the playoff record from it is fuzzy and retarded math.

If you're going to include the playoffs, put an asterik next to those L"s because you EXPECTED them to lose in those series.

You're a retard.

So essentially what Reb is saying is the Knicks losing to the Heat is no different than the way Boston lost to the Heat.

That makes sense.

good lord.

what's their record? I was including playoff games

:rudy:

And therein lies your problem.

You're adding "playoff games" to series you EXPECT the Melo led Knicks to lose to his overall total.

Then you say my point about Melo getting the Knicks to the playoffs doesn't count because you counted his PLAYOFF record to his overall record?

:what:

You're an idiot.

and you're acting like these are one game series'. In two 7 game series the Knicks are 1-8 against Boston and Miami. Fairly decent sample size. Why did they play those two teams? Because that's where their seeding put them. duh.

The Knicks could have played better with Carmelo in the regular season to not have to face the Heat. His first half of the season he dedicated to getting Dantoni fired and the result was a 7 seed.

Now if you think the rest of the Knicks are garbage that's an entirely different argument.
