You've got a certain type of people out here who want to get mad over a black Ariel, but won't keep that same energy when it comes to Hollywood whitewashing Ancient Egypt, the Bible, and all of these anime/manga/cartoon adaptations they've been coming out with recently(Dragonball, Ghost in the Shell, Speed Racer, Death Note, Last Airbender).
Sounds about white.
I'm not normally in favor of changing up iconic/established characters like that since I prefer to see original black stories and black characters instead. In this case though, I'd say the WS tears are worth it.

i hate to preface this with "i don't give a shyt" b/c they're the classic words that lead to a "butttttt" and some bullshyt off color followup
... that being said, would it have been too hard to just give Ariel a black father? just more fodder for the morons... and i realize i kinda sound like one of them for even broaching the subject.
