GOTG are part of Marvel, but still a separate entity from say Ironman, Thor, Strange, etc. And the GOTG are an odd group of characters that all bring something to the table. Plus they were new that the casual movie goer did not know.

Yeah, Solo wasn't a bad movie. But it wasn't good either. Okay we saw how he met Chewy and he made the Kessel run. And?

They have canon? Dig into that and lift stuff from that for some new characters and stories not yet seen on screen. That is what Marvel does.

People are stretching Star Wars too thin with these Obi, Boba, Lando spinoffs ideas. That is still the old regime.

Star Wars franchise is stuck. With TLJ, they tried to drastically move away from the legacy characters. Too abrupt of a change. At the same time, they can't stay with the same legacy forever or people will get tired too.

Rogue One was the closest at charting some new territory and at the same time doing it well. It wasn't until the end they connected it with original trilogy.

Uh nobody wants a lame ass boba Fett movie buddy

Rather see that than a fukking Han Solo movie.

shyt, let me double down on it. I'd rather see a God damn Chewbacca movie with fukking subtitles than I would a Han Solo movie.

*Thats some hyperbole for those taking me too seriously*

Maybe not a lot of dialogue, but there is a lot of character development between these two horrific events.

A Quiet Fett, a Star Wars Movie. :troll:

The only chance is Obi Wan...and revamping for new characters...

Lucas even said he didnt agree with piggybacking off his original characters

Even Obi-Wan would be pointless. The biggest storylines involving him have already been told. What would make the general public want to go out in droves to see a story that they know could not possibly be as suspenseful as his involvement with the Clone Wars and the evolution/destruction of Darth Vader?

Same with Boba Fett. What are they gonna do, show us how he learned to use his rocket pack and hunt down characters no one cares about? Maybe he finds a stray no name Jedi or two, but it's not going to be anything significant. The most interesting things he's done is discover Luke Skywalker's identity for Vader and work with Assajj Ventress as a youngster, and these stories have been told through comics and cartoon. And that's what any of these origin ideas should be limited to, comics, tv or Netflix movies at the most

I find this funny but true. Only good guys I ever gave a fukk about were Yoda, Obi & Mace. I literally don't care about anyone else but maybe Chewy. As a kid I liked the Ewoks.

I'm not really a fan of the series but I basically only watch for the bad guys. If they made a movie of the founding of the Sith order on that backwater planet with all the battle & betrayals I'd go see it. I'm all for that Hut movie too, Rise of Jaba. I just lurk in Solo threads to see if the brehs think it's even worth seeing.
I agree with all of this except...

no love for Luke though :ohhh:

I honestly believe not making this comeback series a Luke swag fest is where they dropped the ball. This is so easy, just have the Darkside/Empire run through everybody like the 18-0 Patriots running up the score.... only for Luke to make his comeback and shut that shyt down.... count money.
