I feel like I’m the only person who welcomes the change. It’s literally been the same shyt for like like 15 years, although 5 got a resolution bump.
I think it looks ok.
HD sprites are expensive to make, and these aren't high budget games.

After playing the demo this one didn’t grab me. It’s more of the same which is cool but I’m not really feeling the 3D art versus the 2D

Is the frame rate still as bad as it was in the demo? This is the first Disgaea I won't be playing at launch.

73 on metacritic this might be the lowest rated Disgaea game so far
It's a Disgaea game. Either you like them or you don't. Reviews aren't really needed. Some Disgaea games are better than others but since they're all built off the same mechanics they don't stray too far from each other.
Damn this snuck up on me. It'll be copped soon I'm sure, but I'm in no rush at all.
