I don't think we were ever supposeed to "root" for Tony but understand that the life of a boss is not that easy.

I just happend to root for Tony because IMO there was a method to his madness. I never though that shyt about how he was grooming Chris just to be a potential fall guy at some point. I genuinely felt from day one that yo he wanted Chrissy to be a made guy and a man who could someday lead the family but that Chris kepy fukking up. Tony made mistakes as well but I never though he was only grooming Chris to be a potential fall guy.

its funny to see his ''compassion'' or whatever shine thru at those odd times, like after he killed Ralph, at the end of the episode he was washing up in the Bing, and noticed the strippers pic who Ralph killed, that shyt bothered him and he didnt wanna hear/didnt care she was a whore, he looked at the pic cuz she got justice.

Re-watching The Sopranos and I never understood why Tony let so much go only to deal with it on his own terms.

All the bullshyt he left Ralph get away with until it came down to a fukking horse...to kill him. Nah let's not off him for beating a woman to death that was pregnant.

how he justified it TO OTHER PEOPLE is one thing.. y'all using all these points and shyt that he said to other people

point is, chris was about to be locked up for YEARS and tony was right there with him to be snitched on.

i'll put it another way.... if chris didn't crash that night, do you think tony would have killed him?? shyt he just had him at huge meeting and then had him picking up tony to take him home.. i think he was cool with chris. he was trying to teach him shyt as the car ride was going along

chris pumps up the music over tony talking to him.. he's nodding off and tony starts noticing it... he proceeds to crash and flip the car, nearly killing them both.. all cause he's high as fukk


THEN.......... chris says the dumbest thing ever.... "tony you gotta get me out of here. you gotta pretend you was driving.. i'm high and they gonna test me.. and when they test me, i'll fail... and i'm going to jail"




oh you mean after i told you i'd kill you for doing drugs, you do them... with me, the boss of the family, in the car.. you almost kill me... then after finding your girl was a snitch, i find out you still hate me for it... but that's cool.. cause now i'm supposed to trust you going to jail, being an addict... to NOT tell the cops anything or dime me out... when it already crossed your mind the first time your girl pitched it to you... and on top of all that............ you want me, again the boss, to take a motherfukking charge for you??????????????



yea... that'll get you murdered... then he couldn't just say that or tell anyone he did that.. so he made up all the extra bullshyt to make it sound good to everyone.. which melphi finds out in the last ep, he's been doing the entire time (show)

haven't read through the thread yet...what i will say is...

even though he was a junkie fukk up, i don't think i've ever wanted a character to "win" or rooted for a character more than i have for Christopher.
but you knew in the back of your head he was never going to achieve or get to where you wanted him to get to.

at least he got to see his movie thing come true.

There's always been a part of me that's thought Tony was jealous of Chris. That Tony wished he could live Chris's life. Chris had a hot piece of ass that was ride-or-die and you still wanted to fukk face to face. Chris had no responsibilities, he could get high party all day and night. Chris also had ambitions outside of the family; the movie career etc.

I think deep down Tony resented Chris, because he was able to do all the things Tony wish he could. Don't get me wrong, I think he loved Chris, but also think he was jealous of him.
