I always say it as Tony FINALLY choosing the business over family. He always had a soft spot for family, and that was his weakness. IT was a running theme throughout the show.

Junior should have been killed after the failed hit in season 1. Tony let it slide, and continued to regret it.

Tony B should have been handed over to NY, but Tony refused. Why? "he's my fukken cousin" :jawalrus: That shyt started the war the basically ended his crew

Chris legitimately should have been killed a few times. Whacking the Polish guy in season 1 without an ok, getting sent to rehab, harboring a snitch wife, busting into the Bing on some :bustback: threatening Tony's life, going forward with the movie after Tony told him not to several times....fukken list is endless.

In the end, Tony finally chose business over family, and from that point on he was alone...

Tony was a scumbag to the core which is why I hate that they didn't show him getting killed. I loved the character but seeing him die would've been poetic justice. He was no better than any of the other guys on the show he only had morals when it suited him.

Funny shyt about his character, the machinations of his own parents pretty much molded Tony into the person he is and despite that scumbag personality his kids turned out to be alright.

Re-watching The Sopranos and I never understood why Tony let so much go only to deal with it on his own terms.

All the shyt that Chrissy did and he goes out like that?

All the bullshyt he left Ralph get away with until it came down to a fukking horse...to kill him. Nah let's not off him for beating a woman to death that was pregnant.

Confusing...but great fukking show....wish it was still on

My other favorite moments....

Bobby giving Tony to the lumps for talking greasy about Janice.

AJ fukking that hot piece of Purteo rican ass :youngsabo:

Uncle June shooting Tony in the gut :dead:

Paulie and Chrissy getting stuck in the woods with that crazy Russian

Meadow grew up so beautifully...

:gladbron: that was my favorite episode

The way this show ended up is STILL wild to me 5 or 6 years later. Looking back at Tonys crew he legit murked any sort of backing he would of had for that war. Chrissy, Ralphie and Tony B were straight fukk ups but those three would of died for that man. But nobody sees into the future and Tony had to deal with NY with that broken down crew he was holed up.

I always wished they went with that NY/NJ mob war in season 5 woulda been off the chain.

Tony didn't kill Chris because he thought he would snitch, or he was weak, that's just his bullshyt reasoning. Yeah, it helps that he thinks Chris would snitch, (we get a glimpes that maybe he's right) but really it was personal, not business. And he did kill him, he suffocated him on his own blood, coldly, callously. It was almost like prolicide, Tony killing his son, because he was so disappointed, and bitterly angry over how he turned out. And the drugs were a big factor too, realizing Chris was high, and all the bullshyt 'smell the roses' was just coke talk. Disillusionment, with himself, and Chris. Tony didn't kill Chris because he was a direct threat to him, or some ruthless business decision. Tony killed him like a mother smothering her child. He just saw an easy opportunity. And don't forget how much Tony resented his nephew fukking that Julliana women. It was the worst side of Tony that killed Chris, the petty, jealous, paranoid, vindictive, evil side, not the one that made him good in business.

Tony was a sociopath, or at least close, his thin justifications for Chris murder, remember him going on and on about the by seat, were just his defense mechanisms to rationalize his behavior. The way Tony always did. He killed Chris because their relationship was failing, though not altogether broken, the resentment and bitterness between the both of them was their for years, worse after the Ade incident. And Tony was also really affected by Chris portrayal of him in that 'Cleaver' movie. He thought Chris despised him, and would never forgive him for a number of things. And he was probably right, but if Tony wasn't Tony, they could have worked through, Chris still loved him, and looked up to him, crazy. All Tony had to do was be there for Chris, but the selfish, self deluded fukk couldn't do it. Look at Tony's treatment of Chris at his barbecue. And then christening.

Also, if you watch closely, Tony kind of realized Chris is coked up, in those minutes right before the crash. Chris is distracted, fidgety, talking weird, but Tony, is talking about 'Smell the roses' and trying to see the positive, but when Chris confesses, Tony just methodically kills him, and solves a number of his problems. It wasn't really business why Tony killed him, it was pettiness, and resentment, anger, jealousy, disappointment, disillusionment. Sad way to go.

It really messed Tony up that Chris hated his guts after all the love he showed him. It was over after that. Maybe he would have never killed Chris, but you saw he took the opportunity because it was about being done once and for all.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
drug addicts are DEAD in the mafia. the first time they ever find out about Chris using, they have that intervention. but it fails and when tony talks to chris at rehab he clearly tells him....... the fact that he's on drugs means he should be dead. and if he was anybody else, he wouldn't have been merciful.

he gave him chance after chance after chance. then not only is he still using. he's lying to the bosses face, damn near kills the boss in an accident, would have killed his child in the same accident, and above all..... he sat there and told tony to hide him, because the cops would find drugs in his system. in other words, he was about to be put under fire by the police and questioned and charged for all this. tony just said f*ck it.

wow, can't believe cats is really dissing Tony for that, I'm surprised.

If you don't play ur role and continue to fuk up then consequences must be made, this ain't no damn after school special.

Ur a sociopath for letting a nikka die who could have potentially murdered an infant that night? Who could potentially flip on you and ur whole organization over some NOSE CANDY?

It ain't even like he technically and strategically plotted to KILL the nikka, he just helped him die

Similar to Walt "helping" Jesse's basehead girlfriend die by not doing shyt

:manny:

In both cases they were sadly things that were necessary from a business perspective, not everyone would of had the strength to do what NEEDED to be done like those two men did in those situations though. It hurt me to see Chris go too but :manny:

Hold up....who's blaming Tony???

When we call him a sociopath, it's cuz he was a sociopath.....if you didn't catch that after watching six seasons, I don't know what to tell you....
