The physicality of his day is really overrated. Its easy to pull up some youtube links and show some physical stuff.. but go back and watch some old games.. from start to finish... its not as physical as they make it. The only difference is, they are calling flagrants on everything now.
Well posted.

Nostalgia only allows people to remember the very best of a generation. Or in NBA terms, the most physical too. Today you see the best and worst of a generation and compare it to only the best of the past. If people went back and watched whole games from 80s and 90s lottery teams (not just conference finalists), they would be throwing tablets and laptops out of the window in disappointment. Top to bottom, the game is way better now. And this is coming from a 34 year old Bulls fan, so you know who was the dominant player of my sports youth.

Dikembe would still compete in today's game, but good coaches/teams would pretty much render him useless a lot of the time.
:ohhh:the way ya'll just quickly shyt on Legends

I can't wait for the day; Russ was slow, Lebron wasn't shyt, and few good double teams would've stop KD in his tracks

I’ll never understand why we shyt on those before us while other cultures celebrate past greats. Even worse in hip hop.

Tables always turn though. If the coli is still around 10 years from now (which I doubt) I’ll log in just to laugh at these dudes in their feelings arguing with what are now elementary aged kids shytting on bron, kd, and steph.

I don't see the issue in saying that Mutumbo would be far less effective in today's league, given his lack of offensive ability and need to defend out on the perimeter on the regular. Your comparison of mentioning LeBron, KD, and Steph would be more applicable to dudes saying Iverson would be rendered useless a lot of the time in today's game.

I put zero thought into those comparisons but that’ll work too :myman:
