Man i feel for anyone who never saw Diego in his prime.
shyt was a marvelous sight to behold. I grew up in a country where soccer is KING (Haiti) but i was always more into volleyball and basketball. Despite that if Argentina is playing ...I'd be like fukk volleyball and basketball. It's a football day for me. He was the reason i ever got into and played soccer in school.

Some of us used to refer to him as "ti bosal" which means "the little bully". The way he would terrorize defenses cutting through them with power and control despite his size.

It isn't his fault that he's not Maradona. Messi has a lot of ability but very little leadership skill compared with Maradona or Zidane or C. Ronaldo.

Argentina should have picked Zanetti for the 2010 World Cup and made him captain. As a fantastic defender and an even better captain for Inter, he would have filled both vacuums in that squad. And he was in brilliant form too, coming off the treble winning season for us.
