He won a World Cup by himself, something that nobody had ever done before or since. Brazil didn’t need Pele to win (see 1962).
Argentina wasn’t even mentioned among the favorites in 1986. He took a bunch of nobodies to the title.
Personally, I’ve never seen a player so gifted with the ball on his feet. Think Jimi Hendrix or Eddie Van Halen with a guitar.
Pele might have been a more complete player but Maradona was pure genius.

“What Zidane can do with a ball, Maradona could do it with an orange.”
- Platini

:rip:

By himself? No that sqaud is filled with legends

Imagine you are Messi and everyone claims you are the goat yet your own country doesn’t claim you as the goat because the witnesses the true GOAT.

RIP to the GOAT

Argentinians do think messi is the goat so your post is bullshyt.

But messi never had the swagger and charisma of maradona

I feel because I felt the same with Kobe.

2020 took some heavy names like we didn't have enough reasons to always remember this shytty year.

Argentina was OK but Napoli? They were veeeery far from being OK. They were nonfactors which Diego took to win Serie A and the UEFA cup with his heavy balls and magic feet.

Neither Argentina or Napoli team were 'championship' status before Diego.

Nobody, nobody in the history of football did that. That's why he will forever be 1 step above EVERYONE when it's all said and done.

Tested by fate, unprofessional life, barely training and he still did that.

That's why he is regarded as a demi-god. Because he made the mistakes humans make but against all odds he ended on top, like Gods.

This post is not true at all. Maradona wanted to win and he trained hard to help them win. Unprofessional lifestyle happened towards the end

:damn: the sonning he gave to italy and they turn on him

That's not what happened. Italy vs argentina happened in napoli, the team maradona played for. Where he was a god.

The people there were divided on who to support. At the same time italy was a divided country
