Did THE ROCK and VIN DIESEL drop the ball after ARNOLD and STALLONE?

Everyone keeps bringing up Jason but his action movies are basically "B-movie" Status. Arnold and Stallone were dropping Action Blockbusters for their time. Sure a lot of Jason's roles probably could of went to Vin or Rock but I don't think Jason is an Arnold/Stallone type DOMINATE action star. He's an action star no doubt though. The cool thing about Jason's career is he knows his lane. Even his new movie with J.Lo that just bombed, it doesn't matter cause Jason movies are all done on cheap budgets.

breh objectively and speaking from a technical stand point those 80s action movies by today standards are horrible b movies. the reason why they're classics today is because of nostalgia. few of them can actually stand the test of time.

being an action connoisseur as a child, statham drops the highest quality action flciks for like a decade now. ALL his movies are good. its kinda weird. even the shyt on netflix that you prolly never seen is good. he came off in the expendables too next to the legends (btw, i just seen 2, dolph lundgren is that dude). the rock can always coem do a few wresling shows and work his way back, hopefully vin comes back doing some cool riddikk shyt

As for Hollywood killing the Action Genre, that's not true, it just evolved to "Regular guy" characters as Action Stars instead of Larger than life figures like Sly and Arnold.

Truthfully he does do alot of B-level action movies for the most part, but he also does do the A-level action flicks now and again too. But check his filmography, he averages between 3-4 movies a year, dude puts in work. And he got action classics with the Crank and Transporter series.

And while some of yall saying he's doing B-movie action flicks, think about it, Vin and Rock was doing B-movie kiddie flicks. Tooth Fairy and Pacifier weren't exactly Harry Potter status, they wasn't even on Night At The Museum level. They was hoping for Kindergarden Cop but instead got Suburban Commando and Mr Nanny

but he's not charismatic enough to be the action star that vin/rock can be. he might not even be on their level right now.

no one is casting statham to headline a $100mil movie. he's not that dude.

the highest grossing movie where statham is the lead is transporter 2 with 43 mil. honestly, i was pretty surprised by this.. seems low but when you really think about his movies, it makes sense.

tooth fairy with rock made 60 mil. vin diesel's the pacifier made 113 mil.

at least it looks like they both realized they fukked up. vin is hopping back on all 3 franchises: ff, xxx and riddikk. rock looks like he got a few action movies coming out too.

I agree they went the kiddy route too quick...especially Vin. I can't hate on Rocky too much he started out making his name in Wrestling so he did what he had to in Hollywood. But Vin should've been the next big action star after Pitch Black, Fast and Furious, even XXX did good. Instead he fukks up his career with all those kiddie movies . At least he's back in his lane now but he took a long ass detour.

If you can see IMDB for all of Statham's movies, it's almost always a "flop" in the US.. Budget 40 million, made 15 million.. but it doesn't matter one bit, cause the rest of the world loves it.

I think there was more money in what they were doing, esp for The Rock. I respect him, the transition from wrestler to actor, few do that as smoothly as he did.
