Did Steven Seagal have the best movie run early in his acting career?

Which was more of a I didn't see that coming moment though....

Screwface having a twin brother in Marked For Death

And/Or

Him dying in Executive Decision?

I honestly thought the movie was over(Marked for Death) when he killed Screwface, but him having a twin brother def. Didn't see that coming.

At the same time, Kurt Russell, Halle Berry, Steven Seagal in Executive Decision. I def, definitely didn't see him dying (so early in the movie)

I know he did a ton of property damage. If he came in your establishment and hr came thru you're spot sho nuff would look like Leroi Green's after the Shogun swang thru. Segal be fuxing people up breaking shyt for no reason. Like the scene with the Jamaicans in the jewelry star at the mall. He was putting their heads thru display cases just cause. Even when he fought the Italians in the bar.

I should rephrase. Daps and resp for even discussing this btw.

I did Aikido for a long long time. I don't regret my time doing it, and it was fun. I don't want to call it useless. Even if it had zero practicality for actual fighting then I still believe it has merit if someone does it and enjoys it. I just think people should be careful getting into it in terms of expectations. Ut has a huge degree of cooperation in it which hindered me when I did Judo, BJJ, Sambo, MMA and other martial arts. Combat sports where the other person is not complying with me.

I think a lot of the footwork is cool and useful, as is a lot of the wrist and posture control. I think it's better to know anything than nothing. Catching punches and knives or weapons out of people's swinging arms is also almost impossible. And I also think that any type of training against someone that is actively trying to resist you and beat you using technique is much better for learning how to actually fight.

At the same time, I don't want to go too heavy down the self defense habit hole. The first 3 minutes and 15 seconds of this sum up entirely how I feel about "self defense" and martial arts. It's a great video and worth the watch.

Here's another video that's been making the rounds on the internet recently.

There's a guy named Roy Dean that was the first Aikido black belt to get his BJJ black belt and he has a lot of cool ideas on mixing the two.

Both styles are cousins to each other only most people who don't get deep into martial arts outside of UFC/Cage/movies, wouldn't really know the difference lol I always wondered how Ju JitSu would translate in a movie and then I saw Donnie Yen in this...
